Kamikaze Game

This is not so much a game idea, as it is an idea for a new mode for multi-player death matches (it would work best for first-person shooter games). The idea of the mode is that you have to try to be the player who die the most (i.e. you win by losing). However, there are a few rules so that no one gets to be cheap:

1.) You cannot commit suicide (falling into pits, fall damage, and own weapon damage are eliminated)

2.) You must do damage to other players, or your health will increase (basically, whenever you are not doing damage to another player, you health will slowly increase, making you even harder to kill)

3.) You must use your most powerful weapon (the game will automatically switch to your most powerful weapon, with ammo, and won't allow change until a more powerful weapon is picked up - change to that--, or you run out of ammo - next most powerful weapon).

The strategies for this mode would be completely different. Some examples of how game play would change are: right from the start, you would have to get to other players in order to get them to hit you so that your health doesn't increase; you would have to avoid picking up more powerful weapons so that you would be less likely to win a firefight; and instead of jumping and strafing to avoid weapon fire, you would jump and strafe into any weapon fire not headed towards you. This mode could be really fun to play since it turns the whole game play world upside-down while keeping some of the general principles.

Nice idea! The only thing I am missing in this idea is that you MUST have a weapon to cause enny damage on your opponents. In that way, the clue is to get the weapon with the lowest firepower (you cannot just avoid picking up a weapon, and hit people with your hands), constantly try to be hit, and at the same time give your opponents less damage than they give you. In addition, I think weapons should be placed in such a way, that it's hard to avoid picking them up.

Question: How would a Sniper-Rifle fight turn out? You try to hit your opponents, so that your healt does not increase, but at the same time, you do not wont to kill them.

Maybe something, that prevents fights from becoming "ropa-a-dope," is nessescary. Something like; if you stand still for a long time, your healt increase?

I see many things to be worked on in this idea, but I find the main point so good that I give it a Boy Stamp. :)
