Masters of Time
An RPG set in a post apocalyptic future where one man discovers the secret of
time travel. He travels back in time to try and make this future change.
Unfortunatly part of his design is stolen by an evil corporation who decide
to use time travel to manipulate time for their advantage. You play our
hero who can hack into computers and find out where the corporation are
going. You can take three possible paths. You can try to go back before
the event and set traps for the enemy. You can go to the exact moment and
eliminate them or you can first go to just after the event and find out
what the effects of their meddling are. You will be able to select different
time periods and not just choose pre-set ones. you will have a variety of
differant weapons such as machine guns and rocket launchers and you can
also disguise yourself in the dress of the era.
Ghost
Another RPG. This one sees you murdered by an enemy corporate firm
and your spirt is trapped on earth. You will go to differant places e.g
enemy bosses offices and their homes. You can manifest yourself as a semi
transparent figure to communicate with people who you need to contact
and as your abilities increase you can touch solid objects and possess
animals and people. If your enemies get suspicious then they can hire
an exorcist to despatch your soul. You must try to avoid killing enemies
as you will then have to fight their spirits. If you do too many evil
deeds then a reaper will be despatched after you. The reaper will be like
nemesis in Resident Evil 3 and will pop up when you least expect him.
If he kills you then your soul is condemned to hell and the game ends
but if you succeed in getting the guys who murdered you then your soul
will be restored to heaven.

I might not remember clearly but I believe
your first idea was somewhat inspired by the movie Time Cop, long time
since I saw the movie so forgive me if I'm totally off track. Time Cop
or not, it sounds like it could be a decent game. Now wait a minute, isn't
there already a Playstation game that is about some time travelling.
