Power Trip v.01

Story
We are on the planet Shurin, and Larken's family has just returned home from vacation but find his family is brutally slaughtered. Filled with furious rage, he grabs his special Moon Pendant and runs off trying to find the murderer.

The Pendant has the power to turn the person holding it into a fierce spirit of the past, but how Larken does not know...

Cheesy RPG names (all pending) and the story is still sketchy but let's get into the gameplay:

Gameplay
The game has a simple magic system. Three characters can fight in a battle but this is not always the case (explained later). When it's the characters turn to attack, he/she is presented with these options:
- Strike [A simple physical attack]
- Magic [Ok... to perform magic you need to collect magic wrists. You can find them or buy these at shops, and you can only have a maximum of 10 in battle, but an unlimited number outside of battle. But just the wrist wont allow you to perform magic. You first have to collect the certain elements to complete the wrist. These elements can also be bought or found. Wrists need 2-10 elements (depending on the wrist) and you can only carry 100 elements per character.

Here's an example:
A Fire Wrist (to perform the spell Fire) need these elements to complete:
a. Flame
b. Strike

So, once you have Flame and Strike, you can add them on to the Fire Wrist and now you can use that magic. You can re-use elements onto other wrists if you want. Wrists are hard to find later in the game]

- Flare [Along your journey you will find and collect Flare Food. Depending on the type of food, this will effect your/enemies status in battle (usually multiple effects). Such as the Flare Food, Firecrackers, once eaten you have Flame +1 and Spark +2. Or you can feed bad Flare Food like Cow Dung, to enemies and they will get Stamina -2 and etc. Later in the game, Flare Foods become much more powerful and harder to find and when conditions are right when feeding to an enemy, they might drop rare elements.
- Item [Self-explanatory... I hope]

That's the battle system. Unique? Hope so.

Other Stuff
The game features a nice separate PC package called Animal Keeper. You can (sketchy still) catch animals with the Capture Wrist and by doing so they can pretty much become a Chocobo rip-off... until the online part is implemented. You can raise your animal off-line in stables and even give them wrists to help them grow faster and better. Them put that on a memory card and transfer via a link to your computer (such as Interact's DexDrive, a one specially made for this game could be in effect) and unload that part of the game (the animals aren't a mini-game, its a completely different game so other game info isn't on the save file) and install a program that makes another stable that was exactly like yours on the PSX by unloading the save file. You can raise your animals and then battle them out online! (But what about this: Release the game on PS2 or Dreamcast instead, and battle animals online directly through the console instead of going through the PC? -Reviewer) You can either fight them Battle Royal style (they don't actually die, they just "faint"), race them, or show off and trade. Each animal when captured gets a special number so if anytime you want to know what happened to your old friend just enter that number in a special search engine and it will pull of for you up the minute stats and updates. What's the point of all this? Usually win you win an event with your animal, you get money prize but other things can also be included. Since this is an online community, the CPU doesn't pick prizes, the administrators of that server and other high ranked people will. But whatever the prize, it will always be something you can access in the game at least once to make it fair for those without internet connections. This could be good because a rare item found only once in a game can now be found twice!

A new cool battle system for Final Fantasy-like RPGs? Yes, thank you!
