NFL Blitz helped to define arcade-style with outrageously big hits. I say, why not bring it to another sport already known for people smashing each other - hockey. Some of the checking moves would be outrageous with people flying 20 feet into the air. Best of all, there would be no penalty box. As and added bonus, the referees could get hit just for the heck of it. For the heck of it, players who score two goals in a row could become "on fire", and whoever they check would also start "on fire" - but not in a good way (I can just here the screams). The controls would have to be very simple and easy to learn, not to mention extremely tight. If the players don't move how they are suppose to, the whole game will suffer.
Some neat bonuses to unlock would include: Football Players - all the players look like football players
No Goalies - for extra-high scores
Giant Rink - the rink seems like the size of a football field
Water Polo - The rink melts and the players ride some sort of water animal while hitting a small, floating ball.
No Brakes! - The ability to stop is no longer enabled.
Point Areas - the score of the goal is proportionate to how for away the shooter is.
For right now, that is my basic idea for the game.

Litterally putting other players "on fire", water polo, and "no breaks". I realy like the funny elements in this idea! Nevertheless, a game based on "hitting the referee", gets booring after a while. Good gameplay is what every game needs.
