I think there should be an RPG with an epic story and a REAL innovative battle system. Imagine mixing a real-time battle of Tekken 3 into Chrono Cross. I mean, who likes going through menus anyway? As you gain experience, you learn MOVES not spells, and accuracy etc. etc. are enhanced as well.

Well, I like going through menus (that is if it's a good system). But I see your point, and I believe Shenmue (the more than impressive newly released RPG (if you can call it that)) actually uses a real-time battle system, playing almost like Virtual Fighter! I have not played it though, I live in Europe and we always get the good games last, if we get them at all that is.

PS: We got MSR first though…he he he :]
