The tales of Sir Ossis

From: "Derek McCabe" To: Subject: Adventure Date: 18. februar 2001 11:15 The Plot:
Imagine an epic tale of a boy taken at birth to a sorcerers tower. There he trains for twenty-five years until he erads the forbidden writings of his now distanced guardian thereby discovering the truth!

In his plight, the bright student of alchemy begins experimenting on a creation that can remove the intelligence of magi until his finest creation, of Alchemy - Alchohol, is born!
Yes! Thats right! He creates such a potent amount that after testing it, he loses most of his own intellect (except the basics, like 1+1=3).

By the time his teacher gets home, Ossis is DAMN drunk, but his slurred speach is identical to how the "enlightened" ones talk, and in fear, the evil Wizard runs off, freeing the town.

Thus, Ossis is knighted in the name of his town, as Sir Ossis, of Del Iver!

Other elements are obviously required, such as more depth. This makes a great "Chapter 1" prologue.

Gameplay:
I picture this to be a back view third person game. Think of it as Tombraider, Thief, and System Shock 2 combined with light the hearted humour of the Monkey Island games. Needless to say, mouse control is desireable.

Other Stuff:
Things can be tossed in anywhere. Think of the powerups! Hidden vials of "Chemicals" can add to Sir Ossis "Sanity". Remember, the more drunk he is, the more he can miss, but alchohol makes more numb, and thus, he gains HP back. 3D cards would be well exploited with effects that would twist the image, making the game really challenging.

To Sum It Up:
This game, although it's strang at first, has lots of potential. It has challenge, uses graphic effects profusly, and can even have more depth. Action is very alive, and the fact that nothing like this exists would really take the world by storm!

Multiplayer capibility is an easy one; Throw in a sword, some beer (In real life and in the game), and let everyone go for it! It would be the first puzzle game with multiplayer support.

I also love games with a lot of humour. No game has made me laugh as much as Monkey Island 3.
