I think that the skill/magic system should resemble Grandia (ONE), in which case your weapons and magic attributes gain expierence, and when you gain higher exp. w/ 2 (or more) attributes make different magic.

The gameplay system should be like Alundra / Alundra 2, withno atb or time based, with a target function (like Zelda: Ocarana of time) and whatever you equip should show on you, slow you down, with weight effecting how many items you can carry and your speed. Slots called "Pockets" should be used to hold items, and # of pockets depend on equipment. A good feature to have:
Harder Puzzles!!!
Some of the puzzles in action games are easier than watching tv... If you want to think up a good storyline, be my guest!!!

I don't know about you, but I thought Alundra was pretty damn hard. Well, to be honest, I haven't even finished it.
