The Unholy War
The Role Play Game
If you do not know about the game Unholy War then you should go here

this should take you to a review of the game that should give you the
general idea. My idea for this game is take the same action-packed fights
and combine it into a RPG. In the beginning of the game you choose your
side the Technos or the Arcanes. If you dont know about this game the
Technos uses guns and machines to fight and the Arcanes use mainly magic.
This game should keep the original arcade mode and VS mode and add a story
or mission mode.
The Mission Mode-
In this mode of gameplay you take missions given to you by your superiors
and carry them out. Each mission has a certain importance to it so if
you loose one mission you dont necessarily loose (unless you are killed
that poses to be a problem). Like in any RPGs you can run into battles
when walking around but instead of making it simply random battles I would
make shadows that run around and if you run into it a battle starts, so
if you need to run because you are low on hp you can run before starting
the fight. When the fight starts you are taken to a 3d battle arena and
depending upon what land you were on at the time you battle in different
arenas (just like in the first one). Although unlike in the first one
when you level your charecter(s) you can assign any new moves you get
(like in the first one the parana devil had a spit attack a bite attack
and a move where he lays an egg which hatches and a monster pops out).
So instead of like in the first one where all the charecters only have
3 attacks I would make alot of attacks that you can assign to different
buttons (like jump to X and bite to square or if you want you can assign
them to the top buttons like L1, R1, etc). Also in battle you can have
upto 3 people at one time and in the options menu you can assign different
players to your NPCs (non-player charecters) so you can have up to a 3
player RPG! When I came up with this idea it was waaay before this site
came out and I had all the missions planned out but since you probably
care not to read them all I will just explain the better ones.
Arcane Missions-
Firewitch bombing. In this mission you command a whole horde of firewitches
and your mission is to lead them to a Technos base where you simply bomb
the heck out of it. Importance- about 35% (in other words not that important,
the highest of importance should be 90% which would probably be the last
mission). Next mission-- Tesla Power Up! -- in this mission you attack
a band of teslas that are charging up a huge obalisk that they built to
send a giant electrical charge to take out you army. Importance 85% (means
unless you beat almost all the other missions you probably should make
sure you win this one and as a mental note if you get to 100% you loose
the war). Brontu Charge! -- This mission is alot like the mission with
the firewitches except this time you command Brontus that charge a Technos
operation and you have to shoot down the Killcyles that try to bomb your
charging brontus. Importance- about 50%
Technos Missions-
Aid Razor-- One of the Technos commanders has been surrounded by arcane
forces your mission (even though he is reeeally strong and probably doesnt
need your help) is to assist him and defeat the Arcane forces that surround
him. Razor's hp is 5x the normal hp 5x the normal strength and his MAIN
moves are bladewall sawblade and spin attack (just like in the first unholy
war the that was the Razorfanes attacks). When you start the mission you
are barely within seeing range of the Arcane horde and when you approach
the hill all the forces are being held back by Razor's Bladewalls (unlike
normal razorfanes his limit on the amount of bladewalls is much higher
like 20 or 30). Importance- 10% (the first Arcane mission). Tesla Power
Up!-- Same as the Arcane mission except that you defend the Teslas instead
of trying to destroy them (some missions are twined like this where they
are in each Technos and Arcane missions).
Evolutions and Upgrades-
If you have played the first Unholy then you shoul know that when you
beat it on hard you gain BetaRazor for Technos and MegeParana for Arcane.
I would add something like this to this game. For Arcane you evolve as
soon as you charecter reaches 30 and for Technos you can request an upgrade
as soon as you are level 20 and have a certain number of kills. Also there
is a final evolution and upgrade for each charecter which can only be
achieved with secrets (these upgrades and evolutions have only been achived
by the high councils for each race).

Additional notes:
There are certain moves that can only be obtained after an upgrade or
evolution and some are gotten right after an evolution or upgrade. With
secrets when you beat the game at the end of the credits it will tell
you how to get them. One of the secrets will be the strategy mode in the
first Unholy War.

I have heard of the game, but I have not played
it so I it's kind of hard for me to fully understand how you imagine this
game to work. Let's hope some designers at Crystal Dynamics read it, maybe
they think it's a good idea to have a RPG version of the game made?
