The Ultimate Commercial Flight
Simulator
flight simulator add ons
Hello there! How are you all? I hope all is well. My name is Neeraj
and I would like to submit my new game idea and hope either Mircrosoft
or someone would make this new flight simulator game which is called "The
Ultimate Commercial Flight Simulator".
I have played both Flight Simulator (FS) 98 and 2000 Pro and still there
are so many things that need to be put in a proper simulator. I know I
cannot say much on the new flight simulator but at least I can mention
a few important things on what the new FS will be like. First of all this
flight simulator will be nothing like Flight Simulator 98 and 2000 (Pro)
and secondly it will be as real as possible.
The new FS will have brand new features that no other FS has including
FS 98 and 2000 (Pro). It will have a better ILS guiding system where instead
of users seeing those bright red rectangles or the yellow bricks and so
on, depending on the user preference, you will see a beam of light with
a unique colour that will not affect the scenery while landing. As this
will be a commercial FS, all the normal flights will start from the terminal
of point A and end at the terminal of point B. For example when you start
your flight, the user will have to make his way to the runway and wait
for clearance from the tower. Not only will you be the only aircraft on
that airport but you will see other aircrafts as well. The problem with
FS98 and 2000 Pro is that there were no aircrafts to be seen. If the airport
the user has selected is very very busy depending on his/her preference,
then the user may have to wait with other aircrafts as well, like in the
real world, if you are in a busy airport chances of delays are very high.
This will also affect your destination. If the user wants to land at his/her
destination, he will first have to get clearance from the tower before
landing. Not only will you see other aircrafts on the ground but in the
air as well. In addition to this, when you takeoff and land, you will
also see other aircrafts taking off and landing on other runways as well
just like in the real world. You will also see other Aircraft circling,
waiting for the clearance to land, which you maybe one of those pilots
waiting for the clearance from the Control Tower. The green rectangles(just
like the red rectangles used in the ILS in FS98 &2000 Pro) will be used
a circling route for planes that do have clearance to land.
The new FS will also have all the major important airports to scale or
the FS team can come up or make their own scale. Another good feature
with the FS is that let’s say you want to land or takeoff and you
are waiting for clearance from the tower and you decide to disobey the
tower, you will see the consequences of not listening to the tower, like
two planes colliding with each other resulting in a big explosion and
so on. The new FS will have three levels in which the user can choose
from. The first level will be the beginners level where the user will
be guided from the moment they leave the terminal of point A to the moment
they reach the terminal of point B. And as you make you way to and from
the runway of point A to point B you will see cars, ambulances, firebrigades
and so many things that you find in a real airport. The second level is
the Amateur where some features will be disabled and some will not and
the third level is the professional level where users or pilots can fly
the real thing without any guidance like the other levels have.
Another feature in the new FS is that let say for example you decided
to fly off course and you lose your flight path, you will have an option
to get back to your flight path. Let say for example, your flight path
has yellow rectangles(just like the ILS guiding system) and you wish to
get back to your flight path and you select that option to guide you back
to flight path, you will see red rectangles that will take you back to
your flight path, which will be very helpful to beginners. This simulator
will also have a feature that will guide users throughout their flight,
for example what speed to takoff at, what flaps to be set at, what altitude
to climb to and what speed and so on. This will be spoken out to you as
if you are communicating with the control tower and not some notes that
you find in FS98 and 2000 Pro.
With the new FS, the user can easily control the plane when taxing, takeoff
and landing. In addition to this, I realised that both FS 98 and 2000
(Pro) do not have that thrust when touching down (landing). But with the
new FS, users will have that acceleration and deceleration and the noise
while landing. Also, in the new FS the user can choose different panels
of their choice when flying a certain aircraft. The Problem with FS 2000
Pro is that I did not really like the panels of the Boeing aircrafts and
some things on the panel not important to me. I prefer the panel setting
of the Boeing 737 in FS 98.
Another feature with the new FS is that users can lock on to the ILS as
early as possible in the beginners level for example, the user can start
locking on to the ILS at 10,000ft even if it is very far from town or
should I say the Runway/Airport. In addition to this, they will be a Autopilot
landing feature where when selected, the computer or the Autopilot will
do all the work and land the plane without the user interference. (You
have this feature in FS98 and 2000 which is called "Land me" but it only
works on one aircraft). With the new FS, this will work on ALL the Aircrafts.
Regarding the ILS, the new FS will have a better ILS which all Aircrafts
will easily lock on and be ready for landing unlike FS98 and 2000 Pro
where locking on to the ILS takes forever for the plane to center in the
ILS.
With the new FS, you will have a guiding system using red rectangles for
your flight path and yellow rectangles for the ground path(from and to
runways to your terminal and vice versa) and leading you directly to your
flight path. This will lead you to your destination or to the ILS where
you can lock on to it and land.
These are some of the important things that will be included in the new
FS. If such a simulator be created I guarantee that this will be ranked
in the top 3 flight simulator category.

To be honest I don't know much about FS games.
I think the last FS I played was version 4.0 on my 386. I see that you
have a lot of thoughts about how a FS game should be, and to me some of
your ideas sounded fair enough.
