The Hall of Records - Egypt Adventure Game

The game starts in Cairo, Egypt. You, Nathan Tams head Archaeologist, have been assigned field work by the president of the Cairo Museum. A new discovery has been made. Buried far beneath the Giza plateau the team found strange readings from their radar. It appears that an underground waterway winds it's way all over the plateau. The team followed the waterway to a deserted area to where the stream stops all of a sudden. This is where you dig. After weeks of hard work, the team finally uncovers what appears to be a roof to something. An ancient building. After digging further the team uncovers more of the building until they find the stream. It never stopped but looped back around the other side of the building almost making it impossible to cross to the building. The team lower themselves onto the roof and climb down the side. Ancient heiroglyphs scatter the building's face. Deciphering the message you find that this is the ancient Hall of Records, a library that explains all about the world. How man was created and how it will be destroyed. Where you go after you die and all the unexplained questions that tease the brain. Now only to get inside... Surprisingly the doors swing open freely, but what traps lay ahead... In the begenning you encounter several traps and must find a clever way past them and finally onto the Great Hall. The traps have led you to a sub level of the building and still stairs travel downward. Walking for what seems like hours you encounter a massive stone wall. There appears no way around it, but there must be a way in. You look up and notice a small chain hanging from the ceiling. Now, how to get up there. On the ground you notice a small hole in the ground about the size of a quarter. You push your finger in and hear a slight click. The ground shakes as massive stone steps emerge from the gravel ground. They wind upward to the small chain on the ceiling. You climb up and yank the chain and the wall splits in two and swings inward opening the Hall of Records. At last! Shelves upon shelves of old scrolls written in ancient Heiroglyphs cover every inch of the room. Headings over each self indicate the topic of each. You find on of the more interesting ones entitled "DEATH OF MAN" you grab the last scroll carefully and roll it out on the small table to the right. The last paragraph read: "The death of man shall be a slow and agonizing death so say the Gods. I bring forth the plagues that struck Egypt on that day and set them free across the planet. I call forth the mighty flood that washes out the ground 'neath their feet. And come now the winds that sway and twist. Man will die on the day of 293 b.n." Nathan comptemplated this. "293 b.n." he said out loud. "Lets see ancient Egyptians time was based on the stars..." he mumbles under his breath "Why...that's next week!" he said with a horrified look on his face. Now it is up to you to save Man from the horrible plagues and stop the end that was set by the Gods more than 4,000 years ago...

Fascinating story, but you forgot the gameplay. Next time try to mention some more about how the game should be played and what makes it so great.
