You, a young apprentice mage working in the kitchens, and everyone around you experience a large tremor while working. You hear a scream coming from one of the maids looking out of the window. For outside in the graveyard hundreds of rotted corpses are scrambling from their graves. Caked in dirt they begin to march towards the castle. The guards flee in terror as the monstrous creatures enter the keep. There is absolute chaos as people run trying to escape. through the crowds of people Harkan the Royal Mage who is also your tutor approaches you. "The Sword has been re-forged and Margad is free!" he says to you "You must journey to Enbénck, The City of Sorcerers to get help. Tell as many mages, wizards, sorcerers or anyone with experience in magic you meet on your travels to make their way to the Golden Hills of Trefflek where the king has his second castle. I will transport everyone there immediately. Hurry!" With that he conjures up a magical dragon which sweeps you onto its back and carries you to the village.

Margad is and undead sorcerer who practiced nothing but black magic. In his attempt to overrule the world the 7 most powerful mages of that time created a sword and each blessed it with there own magic. That made the sword powerful enough to contain Margad. But it was written that one with great evil would reforge the sword and release Margad once again. The game is set in an ancient world. It uses 3D graphics to create this world. In it there will be hundreds of inhabitants with only a few having any significance in the game. The rest must carry on with there lives like normal people even though you would be able to interact with them. You must travel to Enbénck to get help but must convince others such as village wizards and the such to also help by doing them a service. You will learn how to cast more powerful spells as you progress through the game although harmful spells may only be used during battles. You can battle with a number of monsters, wizards and even normal people. Monsters include; Trolls, ogres, orcs, goblins, giants, demons, dwarves, elves and more. The ultimate goal of the game is to defeat Margad and imprison him in The Sword once again. Thus saving the Earth.

I've searched for a good game set in the kind of world you so greatly describe here, without luck. Please, someone, give us Tolkien-roleplay-fans a game set in environments like this, but make it good!!
