Basically its a game about life you get to go any where and do anything and get 5 jobs which are cop, thief, gang member,astronaut and scientist .The cop will be able to go get missions from the station or you could go on the street and try to get a gang or thief or go bust into any house and arrest people or shoot them or beat them with your beating stick. The thief can go and break into any house and steal whatever is there and if your not quiet then someone will come out and try to kill you, but if you hide in the shadows they wont see you so you can sneak up to them and knock them out or slit there throat. You can pick pocket people which are on the streets or steal cars etc.the gang member is sorta gang sorta mafia anyway. You will get orders to go and kill whoever or just go do whatever you want (beat up anyone, vandalise) stuff like that. The scientist and astronaut is sorta the same thing, with a scientist you get inventions and can do experiments on stuff and then you could go into space and take over planets and take aliens to study and then you could get there dna and turn into them and go to their planet and then do stuff (let the designers figure that out). Before you go to get a job you could do whatever you wanted and buy whatever you wanted and when you went somewhere like a golf course then it would go to the golfing game style and you could golf. you could do this with whatever you wanted.
