The Start of the World - RPG
Now for the "real." This story is an RPG I plan to be on Playstation or
PS2. This game is going to take the usual twists in the "systems" of the
game and in the story itself. The name I had planned was the "Epoch of
Life," which contains no subtitles. (This is leaving it open for a sequal,
which I've already planned.) Unlike other intros, no FMV is going to
start. Instead, this game starts like Final Fantasy V, meaning you are
playing the intro, not watching it and instantly getting bored. At first,
you start as a girl, Tanesha Jackson, who is the colonel of the
Fu Kenshis, or the Female Fencers. This brilliant warrior is only
19, but is already colonel of the strongest group of females.
Tanesha remembers she must head to a ship after collecting
materials in the item shop (because when the game starts at her, she won't
be able to purchase anything). Then she gets on the ship to go to Caira to
fight the evil Mao Finazza Midiacca.
In another world, a traveller two years younger than Tanesha
travels a volcano. Then a voice asks for his name, but he does not
remember his name so he calls himself Raiseiryu. The voice asks him
if he has heard of Mao Midiacca, but Raiseiryu answers "no."
The voice then leaves to the other world, and the boy adventures. Then,
this ends the introduction, leaving plenty of questions behind on purpose.
The significance of both of these is not just one significance, but
rather many. Tanesha's life seems more realistic while
Raiseiryu's does not. This is because Tanesha lives in the
World of Reality, and Raiseiryu lives in the World of Illusion.
These worlds are different, however anyone except Tanesha,
Raiseiryu, and Sherman (you cannot play as Sherman, therefore his
name is not bold) have a Reality form or an Illusion form, these three are
considered Ones, because they have both forms, or one parent was an
Illusion while the other was a Reality. For reference, you can refer to
any character who is not a One as Reality **** or Illusionary ****.
This is the start of the story. I do have the story itself, and it's
rather long, so instead I'll tell you how the game should be here, and
attach the story of the whole game to another e-mail I plan to send. Now
on to the character list.
Characters
Colonel Tanesha Jackson- Fu Kenshi and later will change
to Light's Hero Age: 19 Weapon: broad
swords Magic type: high level healing and status magic (when
she meets the Light) Tanesha is a One. She is also Black, and was
entered to become a Fu Kenshi at the age of 5, and she has worked
her way up to Colonel of the whole army of Fu Kenshi. Her parents were
well known warriors, and her father was known for unusual powers, and this
also shows off on Tanesha, as she is the only One in the World of Reality.
Tanesha discovers she is a One along with her destiny once she reunites
with her younger brother and when she goes to the World of Illusion.
Julian Jackson- Adventurer but will change to Dragon's
Hero Age: 17 Weapon: Katana Magic
type: lightning and fire-related Julian is also a One, but he has
forgotten his name, his sister Tanesha, and how he is in his world. The
only connection he could ever have to Tanesha before reuniting is his
girlfriend Illusionary Melena. However Julian left her in Freemas to
pursue many things in his world. Julian will later pursue Midiacca for a
battle, and then he will meet a Star Dragon, also known as the Dragon
Gods. This is how Julian goes to the World of Reality.
Melena Touniary- Magician Age: 19 Weapon:
whip Magic type: healing and ice-related Illusionary Melena is Julian's
girlfriend, Reality Melena is Tanesha's good friend. Reality Melena dreams
of having the ability to use magic, unfortunately she was stuck with
fighting, so she picked up a whip as a weapon. Illusionary Melena has the
ability to use magic, and it heals wounds. When Reality Melena meets up
with Tanesha and Julian, she will join to become a One with the ability to
use magic. She's somewhat of a terrible fighter once she becomes a One, so
the magic slightly tips the scale against fighting.
Kenkayo ????- Sky-Scraping Rocket Age: 18
Weapon: spear Only slightly younger than Tanesha, he is her best
friend and war comrade. He's powerful, but something is still odd about
it. Kenkayo meets up with Tanesha when he is imprisoned and breaks open a
path for her. His last name is unknown because like Tanesha, his parents
disappeared. It is also not certain if Kenkayo is a One or not until a
certain point in the game. Kenkayo is rarely a joking person, so he tries
to be as formal as possible.
Finazza Midiacca- Magic Swordsman Age: 41
Weapon: Katana and broad swords Magic type: low
level healing and ice, middle level ice and fire, high level status magic
The former enemy joins when explaining what has
happened when his power drops. He was originally a One, but split himself
into two Midiaccas: Illusionary Midicca in the Reality World, while
Reality Midiacca is frozen in the Illusionary World. Even though he is not
a One, his power still remains as a Reality, and nobody can explain how
this is possible, not even Midiacca. He is rather strong, and is
incredibly fast. Finazza's story is explained after joining, so as of now,
Midiacca's life is only known to the Dragon Gods. Midiacca is a somewhat
distant person after a certain incident in his life.
Youseiko Usagiyama- Fairy Wizard Age: 54
Weapon: rod, bow and arrow Magic type: medium status
magic, medium time/space magic, high level healing magic For some reason, this Reality has knows that she can
use magic, so she can heal people without being a One, though she is
destined to be one. Her name gives some clue to her possibly being a
fairy, thought in the would of Reality, they do not exist. She really
wants to find the Land of the Fairies, and when she sees Midiacca, she
suddenly realizes Midiacca's two secrets, and wants to help everyone
defeat Cizin now that they have a chance. She's a nice elderly woman,
meaning she would end up helping others' goals before she reaches her own
goal.
Mechel Conusa- Ninja of the Southern Stone Age: 27
Weapon: knives Mechel is 27, and she still believes she's
the best ninja, and plays jokes. However, Mechel joins for a serious
purpose. After hearing about Midiacca and Kenkayo, she tells the group
some information about the two, and about Faro, Woto, Neiterogob, and
Tsui. Also, she has information about the Light. Systems and Other Related Mess
There are new ways to fight with the creation of this game. The use of
specialized commands, magic, and skills will be like the "old school". In
this game, not everybody gets magic, and this game is going to provide the
challenge that the beginning RPGs established. Well without further ado
the systems themselves!
Battle System and Magic I've decided to do this the classic way, well,
almost. Naturally you walk around and then the camera zooms closer to
everyone. (You travel around with everyone, but fight with only three.)
You now can move around the battlefield, and attack depending on range. In
a close range, you can fight in anyway that is not long range. In a long
range, you can either throw or chant a spell. The game will tell you are
in short or long range.
So how do you choose commands? Press (X) and your command list will
show up. Choose from there how you want to fight. For example, if Tanesha
chooses her command "Shining Sword Spirit," she would press (X) at that
command, and choose which sword spirit she wants. Note that some Sword
Spirits are either long and short range, or one range. To attack, simply
press (X) at "Attack" and choose the one you want to hit. This goes for
any other available commands, so that ends the battle.
The normal way for a successful battle is good LP (Life/Hit
Points) and SP (Spell Points). Of course there's the STR
(Strength), ATKPWR (Attack Power), DEF (Defense),
VIT (Vitality), INT (Intelligence, for a stronger attack),
and PSY (Psyche, making magic stronger), and SPD (Speed) to
assist in your fighting. Your enemies also will carry these attributes,
and as you improve over time, they improve as well.
When you cast a spell, your SP decreases, and that's really it.
You gain more spells by level, and not every spell is learned by one
person. High Psyche stats will make attack magic and healing magic more
effective. A list will be provided later in this letter of spells.
Traveling Through the World
In the two worlds in this game, land is the usual way to get around.
You must walk and rarely get the advantage of a ship. Monsters are
everywhere except the air, and the Negule is the only source of air
transportation for our heroes. You do get a car as well, but monsters do
attack even with you in the car, however, it's also fast so you do not
encounter as many enemies.

Explaination of Special Commands
Shining Spirit Sword- The Light of the
sword unleashes its spirit to shed holy on all enemies. More spirit swords
come after Tanesha gains the right number of levels. The sword names are:
The Slash of April Showers- a sudden flash unleashes heavy rain and
a strong sword attack Crystal Beam Attack- the sword turns into
a sword of crystal and attacks one person with the sword and the beam
Flurry of the White Sword- a blizzard attacks all by Tanesha
transforming her sword to the White Sword The Sword of the Sun-
this sword attack heals LP to all by 35% Heaven Sky's Magic
Sword- a special attack from Heaven The Sword of the
Legend- this ancient sword speeds
everyone up and attacks one enemy with the power of the sky, heaven, and
the wind to release a heavy blast of energy
Dragon Energy Draw- Energy from the Star Dragons release deadly
damage. These are gained also by level and there is one more than Shining
Spirit Swords. Rage of Asura- the power of Kaseiryu is drawn
from this attack to lash serious fire damage. It also temporarily stops
the enemy it hits Katana of the Flash Flood- the power of
Suiseiryu punishes enemies with a flash flood. It might also push back
enemies and slow them down Ki Raicho Daiken- Raiseiryu's bird
Raicho unleashes his spirit and attacks with a huge sword of lightning and
thunder Earthquake of Ashuku-Nyorai-Doseiryu releases this
earth element so that Julian will hit the ground with his sword and cause
an earthquake The Ancient Sword of Benkei- the famous fighter's
spirit lives within the sword to fight one enemy (When you use this, you
must consistently press (O) to get more hits for the ten seconds that this
attack will last. This sword is continuous, and it's up to the player to
keep it that way for that time.) Hac Tao Long- a dragon sealed
when the Star Dragons were created, non-elemental damage is done to one
enemy Kirichiradenshokuken- all that is known is that
this sword will cause damage to any enemy and it's painful
Air Spear- Only the power of the air, wind, and heaven is put
into these spear attacks, however, they are still dangerous. However,
there are only five of these. The Lance of Divine Winds- only
the power of wind could cause damage to an individual
Ten'un'yari- the Heaven Cloud Spear blasts one enemy with
repeated hits Kuuraidennakaten- meaning "Void Thunder in
Heaven", the sky turns dark and the spear hit hard and makes thunder
noises each hit *The final two can only be learned as a One*
Jump-Fly-Land- Kenkayo will wait for a high wind to jump in the
air, fly to the target, and land on him, which will also cause the enemy
to stop moving Double Cross Wind Slash- Kenkayo finds a target to
hit, and on two occaisions cross winds will hurt the enemy
Restore- This will recover LP by 45%.
Transform- One Youseiko
will transform into her Illusion form, a fairy.
Arts- The arts of the ninja are only used once.
Lightning Arts- the power of lightning slams an enemy
Meteor Arts- a meteorite hits all enemies Blizzard
Arts- snow freezes enemies to cause extreme damage
Continuous Arts- this hits five or more consecutive
times Lightning Arts- the power of lightning slams an enemy
five times Meteor Arts- meteorites hits all enemies for thirty
seconds Blizzard Arts- snow freezes enemies to cause extreme
damage six times Flame Arts- Mechel repeatedly burns every
enemy Chasm Arts- the earth opens up and crushes an enemy
plenty of times Power of the Ninja- speeds up everyone,
temporarily raises INT, and makes it very hard
to see the heroes
The Final Touches
As you may have already heard, I want this game on one of the
PlayStation formats. I plan to have this game be multi-disc as well, being
analog and dual shock compatible. For graphics... I don't want polygons,
but rather more detailed looks to have more animations. A few games that
would provide the example is Final Fantasy IX and Tactics, and Dragon
Quest VII; they give the character look I like in a game, and plus they
give a good look for the other things. I want towns to grow or lose
population, and this game is not futuristic. Only the Illusionary World
should have great amounts of technology (and that would be Freemas; the
only town that will not lose population in the game), but still I want the
old school look. Now the maximum anything in stats is 99 (except attack
and defense power), and the maximum level is 99. However the maximum
LP will not be 999 or 9999, I want it to be no more than 1300, and
maximum SP should be no more than 400. This may not be important,
but I'm just trying to prove in the two months I've had this idea (and
I've been rather lazy with it), I've had huge plans for it. In the next
e-mail I will present to you: the story itself, and the spell names. Until
then... goodbye!

We are left speechless. 11 pages! And this
is just the first part of your impressive RPG idea. We really hope people
will take time to read it through as it is both well written and has allot
of interesting gameplay elements. Great work!!!
