The Assassin - RPG Video Game
"The Assassin" should be an RPG like no other. The idea is to create
a game where you can move around totally free of a story,- because you
make the story on your own. Still, you are not going to get lost in wandering
around, with no clue off what to do. The plot of the game is to be the
best assassin ever, and how you choose to become that (or not) is totally
up to you. It's a "Shoot'em-up-wiht-a-great-story-and-not-just-a-silly-BAmBaM-Game.."
So, to make an example; The world where your character lives in, is dominated
by large syndicates and Internation Companies. The world are no longer
ruled by politicans, but by profit. (..I know, -Kind of a classic setting-
) You start out as a simple criminal, with only the resources you are
being granted by the Syndicate you belong to. Or if you choose to start
off on your own, you have some money, and need a reputation. Your first
task is to "get going", and you start training. You will have to choose
what field you wont to become an expert in, and a starter assasin have
to choose a first grade field. There are going to be "assasin rules" which
you, off course pay attention to, or not..! ( Like the better you get,
the closer to the victim you can move.) As a starter you start training
in bombes(-mode) or Rifel(-mode), etc,- later you can advance to knife
mode, close combat mode, night vision skill, etc.. You might try the be
the Rambo kind of assasin, and more off a gunfighter. So you could also
buy a pair off Uzzi's and go blasting off "your" enemies. But, a pro assasin
knows that if his customers cant identify the victim, the wont pay! You
choose "missions" ( jobs) freely, and as your reputation grows, you make
more money and get better jobs. One mission could be to kill a important
person, in bright daylight.. and the reward, a special weapon, respect,
a place in the leadership of a XXX-group, or just a million $$$..
The layout of the game should be something like Metal-Gear-Solid,- you
move around in the city, with all this ordinary people around, trying
not to expose yourself. You have come up with the best way to assasin
the person and find a getaway. By assasion the victim, you raise you status,
make money to improve your own skills and gear, but you also make enemies.
After a while, you might have become a Pro.Asssasion, working on our own,
or for/in a syndicate. No it's time to make plans for the future. You
bank account is growing, and your stock investment in Gigasoft has paid
off ( maybe because you assassinated Gigasofts opponents head leader,
Billy Gatez ). So, its time to buy a house, stronghold, condo, or whatever
you choose. Or you might prefer being a freelancer, and move from hotel
to hotel, it all comes down to the STYLE you wish for your character.
If you go for a house, your able to secure it, by setting up alarms and
traps( in case of enemy attacks, which might occur!!), and you can hire
some guards. You also have to choose furniture.. All those small chooses
you make, are going to form the story, and how your character develops.
But still, your not going to be stuck in making decisions all the time.
( Booring ). With a place to call "home", you can expand your "bizzniz"
more. You can even hire people to make your own Syndicate, like a Mafia
game, but if you wish just to travel around in a Shoot'em up adventure,
- U'r welcome! ..Making contacts and behave professional, learn the skills
and develop techniques and weapons, invest money and aim for power, or
just be a pure psycho who likes to torture his or her victims in "the
Castel", you choose.. Maybe both?
Features:
- A great soundtrack. You can choose default music, relaxing home (safeplace
) music, and mission music.
- "Real people", who act as normal people wherever you are. You cant just
go blasting around without a plan, because the police will get you.
- Tons of weapons and gear, so much you don't try to "get it all" or get
the one with "most fire power", you look for the ones you need to get
the jobs done..
- Environment engine, which generate a story out of ever move you make.
So, that a stupid move may turn up both god or bad, or not make a different
at all.
- Bank/political/medi/criminal/ect systems, which react to events in the
world.. You might choose to be a part of those events, and manipulate
the world as you like.
- Graphic never seen before.. :)
- Character generation, which never ends, you might start up god looking,
get shoot, almost die, come back as a ugly and mean f***'er and revence
your loss, for so spend money on plastic surgery and become a real hunk..!
- Ability to travel around the world in buss, trains, by car or plain,
sleep in hotels and.. who knows; kill everyone you meet, or make a best
friend..
- Assassins golden rules. Look around, and you might meet the ancient
Japanese Durcel Rabbit, who know all the golden tricks, and from no on,
nothing can stop you.. (Just kidding, but hidden tricks and gear there
should be, and ways to develop new ones..)
- A never-ending story.. Its time to make games which never ends, and
games that are so complex that you never run tired, but still their not
too F% BIG.. so you loose sight of what your doing.
- Gameplay like you always dream about it. To custom the controller like
you want it, is a clue to make it true the worst "nightmares".
- NO stupid things, like ..errhhh.. stupid things
- Save point, ONLY at safe places. Being killed might not be the end,
and to be truly, saving all the time, ruins the gameplay..
- And so on, and so on..
- And end to the Assassin idea...

No question, this game would have been a killer. But
it would also have killed the people that were supposed to program it.
