Corpus
The name of the game is Corpus. Corpus is a game all about evolution
of man. As any schoolboy would know, Corpus is a main part of an organ
or body system. In the game you play as a young boy who has been born
with an extra body system. At the controls of that body system is the
new corpus "Bleu". It is supposedly a new kind of circulatory system that
pumps a fluid like blood that is called lymphoid critasm. This fluid is
used as a super-healing agent. When there is an open wound like a cut
the lymphoid critasm mixes with your blood to heal it super fast. Several
years ago a young girl was born with the "Bleu" and the doctors who delivered
her told the government and the doctors were killed so as to keep the
information confidential. They studied the little girl for several years
until she died from radiation tests. Since you were born with the same
new corpus as the girl the same scientists want to study you too. You
must use the powers of your new corpus to escape the wrath of our ass
hole government.
This game will take place in the every day society of the year 2019. The
game starts out with a cinema of you in the hospital when you are first
born. Since your father is a very powerful man (the president of a new
multi million dollar computer corporation) you manage to avoid the bastard
scientists for several years. The next cinema is you when you're about
12 and your playing basketball with your friends. You fall down and scrape
the skin off of your arm. You look at the wound and see a blue liquid
using out of your arm. In a matter of seconds the cut is completely sealed
and looks just like nothing had happened. It goes through some boring
talks with your dad about what happened but he proves to be no help. It
seems that everyone is trying to cover up what happened to you. Later
you find that your parents have been kidnapped and that they were trying
to hide you from the government. You must find them and save them without
being captured and tested on. You find that the "Bleu" corpus interacts
with your other organs and parts to give you special skills. Each skill
you will learn when the time comes to actually have to have it. For instance
when you come to a body of water (say Niagara Falls) your Bleu interacts
with your lungs to allow you to store umpteen metric square feet of oxygen
in your lungs. This will allow you to stay under water for several minutes
up to a half an hour. Your Bleu has already interacted with your nervous
and circulatory systems to give you a very high threshold of pain, a longer
lasting more durable heart, an almost perfect photographic memory and
later on in the game you will get an anti bacterial disease fighting organ.
After a while you might start developing more and more systems to help
you in your adventure. You will play in all sorts of different places,
manly cities. You can interact with almost everything around you. Just
like in most RPG's you have a meter of lymphoid critasm that you must
use sparingly since you only have so much. But as time goes on your meter
will get bigger. Plus your Bleu can get damaged and thus affecting your
special skills performance. Like if you get hit several times in the chest
(where the Bleu is) and then try to hide in the water your lymphoid critasm
will be less affective and your lungs may collapse from the stress you
putting on them. So don't take your Bleu for granted.
