| Making a living creating games has to be
the best job in the world right? On paper it sure sounds
wonderful, but the game industry has changed a lot since
the happy 8-bit days. The development teams were a lot
smaller than they are today. Many games were made by a
single person, and 2-3 persons working on a game was more
than enough. The same guy who did the textures also did
the game music. Today the game biz have turned into a
billion dollar industry, development teams can reach several
hundred people for the biggest games. The moral of the
story is that today there are a lot more jobs available,
and there are many types of jobs one should consider,
not just the legendary game designer job. Only the most
experienced people will ever get the job as the lead designer
for a new game. But no need to lose your hope, Santa needs
plenty of helpers to get anything done these days so we
have put together this list of game jobs to help you plan
