Learn Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry.
Game Art & Design Degree
Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.
The focus of the game would not be on one central character, but a party. These characters include an array of peoples from different cultures, much like most traditional RPG's such as Breath of Fire and The Legend of Dragoon. There will be eight main characters, in which you could periodically switch between by meeting back with them at Inns and taverns scattered across the realm's towns. This game would rely heavily on the third edition Adnd rules like such games as the Forgotten Realms games. Unlike alot of RPG's, you will be able to equip armour and swords and have them actually appear on your body. Like in Dungeon Siege and Everquest the people in you party will not magically fuse with one main character they will travel seperately. Also, land, horses, boats, houses, even small islands will be available for purchase. Hopefully this game would have some depth in character developement andinteractions with NPC's and the world around the PC's.
The common wealth of the land would not be gold, but Oriils, due to the strange realm that you exist within, and levels will be delt with in a way that you can relate to the Forgotten Realms games, such as Shadows of Amn. Fighting will be real-time with party based attacks and defense as well as spell casting. Another treat that hopefully would be added is a multiplayer feature so that you and your buddies can play out their roles. Characters will be created by the player, not given. A wide variety of character choices would be given as well, from the tiniest scar to their class(es) and race(s). There will not be an exact existing plot line, but it would be more like the Elder Scrolls III, as my first game idea post was. It will be numerous mini-quests, or, side quests. There will be a central thread, however, but it is not required unless you want to flat out beat the game and miss out on all the other cool stuff that it would be loaded with, such as hundreds and hundreds of spells, spell combinations, armour, metals, alchemic components, NPC's, relationship possibilites, and just an endless array of RPG things that they are known for. I sincerely hope that those who read these enjoy my thoughts, this is only my second.
