There are many mysteries and unknown wonders in final fantasy 7 that just about everyone who has played the game and went through it would like to know. I myself am definately one of them!
Here are some things that would be changed in the game: Most human cicilization on earth did die off after holy and meteor (there will be a part in the agme were you descover remains of an ancient human city) except for the citizens of Midgar. A clue that will seem to really confuse you is: it is said by a man in Kalm that people living in midgar will not die because it is so infested with mako energy.
There is a yellow orb that is shown when cloud is being plunged into the lifestream for the final confrontation with sephiroth. This orb is focused on for a few seconds in the original game, but in this one you will see endless land streching for miles. A small and beautiful voice will whisper this is the promise land.
The Cetra (ancients) can space travel. It says in the game that they travel from planet to planet then move on. Once at the end of their journey they reach the promise land. In the new one an old man will tell you all about the Cetra
Aeris can project herself just like Sephiroth does, but she is just not that good at doing it yet. The projection in the midgar church is her trying to communicate with cloud, but she is not very good at it yet. Aeris is not going to come back after the meteor, holy incident. She keeps saying things about her coming back, but despite her reasoning she never does.
When you reach the end of the game and finish it a flash of light will appear on the screen and show you all about the Promised Land. It will tell you that it si in your heart and when you die you will reach the promised land and live there for the rest of eternity in spirit. It will show Aeris in her promised land. The game will make you try and find out why Aeris dies (but it will make it more clear through a few incedences in the end part of the game).
At the end of the game Red XIII has offspring. It was thought by many people that Red was the only one of his kind. After he has kinds the group descovered that Red's kind does not need intercourse to reproduce and any gender can have babies.
All of these changes would be made in a spectacular sequel called Final Fantasy VII-2
