Game that adds in every fantasy concept there ever existed. Game that covers every wildest imaginable stunning animation there ever could be for casting magics, and a totally original fantasy world that is not earth-like...because so far, i find, not one game in the market had satisfied all three of these requirements.
Like Baldur's Gate2, game allows you to control 9 or more characters all at once. Online play only (MMORPG). Game focuses on teamwork between your characters to defeat enemy.
You may choose all 9 of your characters to be all fighters, bowmen, magicians, assassins, or healers...or you may make your team up out of different character classes.
If you wish to have one of your characters to both be a fighter and a healer then you may set your character up that way, although that character's fighting and healing ability would be reduced by a quarter from pure fighters' or pure healers' abilities.
Game control: You are an invisible controller of your team characters. You dash around the battlefield in first person view (the view angle may be changed by moving your mouse, like most FPS games) seeing how the battle goes on between foe and your characters, giving orders to them here and there using mouse clicks. There are hot keys for you to jump the view straight to the team character you would like to view. Controlling the game this way you won't just be able to see the 'backside' of your characters (like most 3D RPG games) but you may see their whole body, armors, and weapons in full view and different angles.
Some game concepts: When an archer is being attacked from very close distance, he cannot attack (shoot arrows) any more (Because his attack style is long range). Archers may not attack enemies in close range. Archers have longest attacking range and high movement speed for ambushes. Magicians have medium attack range, have high damage, large area-of-effects magics, but low health, and during casting a magic spell can be stopped if being attacked. Warriors have short distance attack range, high health and more versatile and prone to attacks (can attack constantly). This doesn't mean a warrior team is the best, why? Archers can position themselves on high cliffs and rain down arrow showers onto warriors while warriors are unable to attack the archers on high cliff.
Heavier armor equals slower movement speed but higher defence.
You may hire as many mercenaries as you like to fight by your team's side, as long as you have enough gold to hire them. The higher their levels, the more gold it costs to hire them. Mercenaries get paid hourly, therefore if you don't have enough gold to pay them when the next hour is up then they'll leave your team. Controlling the mercenaries works the same way as mentioned above (like Warcraft3).
Assassins are good for fast mobility, long distance aid to comrades' side by giving them extra health potions or helping them fight enemies, and assassination...with Invisibility skill.
Healers' main duty is to heal injured team members, and to resurrect killed team members around the battlefield (resurrection costs more mana). Therefore having extra, well-protected healers on battlefield is cool.
Some others ideas... Game penalty for being killed by enemies: The more times your main character gets killed by enemies in game, the more it costs to buy items, potions, weapons, armors, rides etc. The more quests you completed without main character being killed, the higher the discount you stack up for buying weapons, armors etc. In Diablo2 I find the penalty for dying very annoying because you would have to keep on fetching your body from a far away distance, not to mention the number of times you die again and again while trying to do that.
Health and mana heals automatically when too low, but at the time of healing must avoid attacking enemies or being attacked by enemies by dodging and escaping otherwise the healing process will stop. This means in game you die by being hit by enemies continuously for many times.
There would be only one super duper special weapon, armor, shield, etc. in game, and only the very very few lucky players will have them. This means all players will select these players who have super duper weapon/ armor/ shield/ ride etc. as target and attack that player to try to rob their items from the. The player carrying the super duper weapon, shield, armor etc. will have to find friends to help protect him, but his friends can betray him any time and kill him and fight for that super weapon. If a player have all these super duper shield, armor, weapon etc. together....then he could dominate the realm with his powerful might...in other words he would be every player's target. Get the idea? It's a continuous bloodshed fight between the players to get hold of all the super duper item sets to become the most powerful player in the realm. Good and Evil.....If you choose to become an evil character and do very many bad deeds then your reputation continues to fall until you are WANTED on the list of top criminals in the game realm, (bad deeds including setting up gangs with other players to kill passing players to rob their items, armors, weapons, trading caravans etc.). A bounty would be set up either by other players who've been robbed or by the AI NPC who've been robbed, with that, a reward would be set by that player and his party who've been robbed or by AI NPC. Reward may be a large amount of gold, treasure, jewellery, or precious items, weapons, armors etc. All other players who want the reward then may hunt down that criminal player and receive the reward (in other words...every player can become a bounty hunter and gather up gangs to hunt down criminals. Dead or Alive. You can also become all evil and kill the criminal and take all the robbed items, weapons etc. to yourself and not return it to its rightful owner, then you are the one who would be on the bounty list. Other similar quests can be set up based on this idea, which is: online players sets the quests for other online players. There are set up quests by game developers of course. Game is therefore a constant battleground between good and evil gangs....which also means online players may choose what professions they want to be in the realm. e.g. Become a justice enforcement officer and your job is to catch criminals and enforce justice to receive a weekly wage and maybe become promoted to higher rank and receive more wages if you've catched enough criminals. Or become a thief whose interest is to...you know what (to be continued.
Game covers broad range of characters and land features...ninja, buddha, God, phoenix, elf, mythological gods like Sun God, moon god, dragons, characters of the star signs like sagittarius, virgo, aries, east and west mythologies, Draculas, flowers that breathes like humans, waters that have solid element properties, can see other planet's aerial view landscapes in the sky, sun and moons that move around, concepts from the Bible like God sent protectors that protected the tree of life, human being's beginnings and endings Satan's warriors etc.
To be continued...
Another concept...All characters fight together on battlefield, action-packed and fast-paced like in Diablo2 but instead of only seeing one character you see 8 characters. The characters fight very fluently, like characters fighting in Dungeons and Dragons 2D arcade games: Continuous attacks by many characters fluently and cooperatively without intersects, like they're 'one', like each character's attacks are linked one after the next: How this works...8 characters seperated into two groups of 4 each, each group lead by a leader. One group leader attacks an enemy, other characters in that leader's group will attack the same enemy as well with their set skills. If a character's set skill have auto-aim (e.g Diablo2 Amazon Strafe), then that character would attack that enemy and auto-aim other enemies around their group as well. If a team member's set skills are fire bolts that attacks enemy and healing that heals team members, then during battle that character will automatically both attack the enemies using fire bolts and heal team members continuously. So it's like controlling only two characters (two group leaders), but having the skills and animations of 8 characters on battlescreen.
Unlike Diablo2, many battles takes place in towns and cities.
New fighting concept: Forget the mana, forget the health! 7 or more characters on battlescreen...their mana and health not displayed. They hack, slash, attack, cast magic on enemies without ends, but if their health ended, they die, if their mana ended, they cant cast spells. At the end of killing a set number of enemies, all 7 characters health and mana retored to full (even if they just died) automatically. In PvP this would be cool (I think) because it would be a test on who is fast and the furious in using skills and managing skills, health and mana attributes so that they can defeat their opponents with skill and cunning without running out of mana and health earlier than their opponents. Doing so have another advantage of having fast and wild animations on fighting characters like arcade 2D fighting games. Items....Have many different magical properties of course for each single character. E.g of magic....enemy cast curse on one of our character, one of our character casts decurse on that cursed character, enemy then does fire-ice storm on 3 of our characters sticking too close together, our 3 characters would have to quickly spread out to prevent being heavily damaged etc. Combat is like playing chess in RTS pace. If we combine our characters' attacks and merge them into one attack (like those combo special moves in arcade games), our attack damage increases, but our characters sticking together would be more prone to large area of effects spells when one magic hits all of them at the same time. If all enemies are killed on the screen and no more enemies are approaching at the moment then all characters' health and mana are automatically filled to full. The above idea is generated because i find it a waste of time clicking on restore health and mana about half the time of the game time, why dont we just have them filled up automatically after a while and just keep on fighting because we know it's gonna be filled up anyway?

So far, there's nothing out of the norm from what most fantasy RPGs are, down to the class alignments and game mechanics...

Sounds like, fun, I guess... but an absoulute HELL to control. I'd prefer the good old isometric 2D Baldur's Gate view. I commend you for putting a detailed description of the game in instead of "A 3D MMORPG BALDUR'S GATE AND REALLY GOOD YO". Thanks!
