Learn Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry.
Game Art & Design Degree
Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.

The basics of this game are really quite simple. Starting off with a small shack or building and a certain amount of money (depending on the game difficulty which is explained later), you have to build up the construction that you started with in the beginning, extending the resources, building up and out, adding more utilities…different themes mean you could end up with thousands of possibilities for your building. A Military Defence Base, a Space Station (the game menu asks which era the game is set in, making different types of buildings and different game play. This could mean a Space Station instead of a 20th century Airport, an Interstellar Transfer Booth instead of a Railway Station, and many more.), an Undersea Port, a Major Transport Centre (needing places for tired commuters to sleep and eat), I could go on. The big factor in this though is the fact that as you extend your facilities you can do almost anything you like with the place. You can extend a military base under the sea for a naval construction yard; your hotel could float among the clouds. You also have to compete with the other buildings in the area for customers. If your not careful, the people who can afford it will flock to your opponents Managements, while you will be left with the bums and low-life of the sidewalk. For example, you may have the best naval fleet in the entire world, but your opponent might have the best land army. A naval fleet isn’t much use in the middle of a war in Russia is it? Another aspect of the game would be that you keep up with world events, as pop-ups tell you that a war in Japan has caused a major oil shortage in the north of Canada. If you happen to own an oilrig or two this could be the perfect opportunity for a new business deal. If a nearby theme park is distracting customers from your Five Star Hotel then you either get better services or watch the competition sweep all your customers away.

The Difficulty Level would determine how much money and what kind of construction level you start of with, and how fierce the competition is. It would go from Very Easy, Easy and Normal to Hard and Very Hard. Very Easy would start you off with a veritable Mansion, lots of cash, and a load of yellow-bellied kittens as enemies. Very Hard would give you a tiny hut, a couple of pounds, and the best hotels and ports in the business situated a couple of metres away.

To build things and add facilities you would choose a team of builders from the Labour screen, each with their own prices and skill. The type you choose show how the buildings are going to turn out in the end. Cheap ones give you unstable shacks and take weeks; the expensive ones get the job done quickly and give you a reliable end product.

I think that this game would be very fun to play, as the possibilities are almost endless. Personally the idea of being able to explore the ocean bottom in an undersea port or mining for gold on the side of a mountain while still having to remember to do all the things that a normal community needs is a great idea, and I’d really like to play it if it ever comes out.

The End

I loved that idea. Its kinda like the sims, except you're competing against others, and you manage the buildings. So, that's way cool. I would love that game.
