MAIN IDEA
In this game you start out as the omega wolf in a pack of eight. Although your main objective is to become an Alpha wolf, you have to do many things first, such as prove yourself worthy. As an Omega, the lowest rank and the scapegoat as the pack, you have to do some things such as kill lots of prey, save another wolf and obey the alpha and all the others. There will be free play to explore, but occassionaly, missions will be assigned, such as "kill 3 deer to compensate for the food shortage", "help the delta wolf take down the moose", or even "save the beta wolf from the cougar". Eventually, the Alpha will trade you in for the Theta wolf, the second lowest rank. Finally, the true innovative of the game begins. You can control the Omega, and assign him, say, to help you kill an animal, or move a log to cross a bridge. Special techniques will now be opened, and since you have two wolves, you can explore deeper into the forests, so in case you're hurt, the Omega wolf can call for help or vice versa. With each new wolf you become, more techniques will be available, and new areas will be opened. Finally, as you become an Alpha, two new segments of the game will be opened: mating and the final battle. Mating is pretty self-explanatory, and eventually, through mating, many new wolves are ready for the last attack of the game. The final battle is against a clan of 7 wolves, and they must be defeated. Once you defeat them, you start over as the Omega, but as the children of the mating process that happened beforehand. (PS there will be 4 females) The goal of the game is to last 10 generations.

If you want to use the Greek alphabet in the game, then PLEASE do it correctly! Here they are:
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Dzèta, Èta, Thèta, Iota, Kappa, Labda, Mu, Nu, Ksi, Omikron, Pi, Rho, Sigma, Tau, Upsilon, Phi, Chi, Psi, Omega. That makes 24 letters. (So also 24 ranks) :D

I happen to know the Greek alphabet, but I left out some letters as not to confuse less intelligent gamers, unlike you and me. After all, even though most people know alpha, beta, delta, etc., only more experienced ones know underused letters as ksi, dzeta, psi, ksi, etc. And, if you wanted to use the entire alphabet of 26, you'd have to include digamma and sanpi.

well it certainly is a unique idea, i must admit. it's nice to see original ideas, even if it's not particularly my style of game. only one thing about the ranks, that other guy bugged u about not using every greek letter, and u countered well, but unfortunately i don't believe that most wolf packs tend to have 20-30 wolves residing in them. it was an interesting idea, but maybe u should reduce the amount of ranks to like 10 or 15 using only well known letters (obviously alpha, beta, gamma, delta, sigma, epsilon, omega, etc.). This makes advancement more meaningful without "confusing" certain people that probably can't pronounce the names anyway. keep up the good work, check out my ideas under the action or rpg sections if u like.

You're right, wolves do have packs of only up to 15. But, when they mate, their pack can expand around 25. Since mating is a good portion of the game, it is necesary to have 19 letters. And just in case anyone else doesn't know, here are the pronunciations of some of the trickier letters: Lambda: LAM-duh Iota: ai-O-tuh Omicron: O-mih-krahn Omega: o-MEH-guh

Although the game does sound pretty righteous, I don't think it would make a very good one player game. I mean, think about it. Most of the wolves would have to be AI controlled, and I have yet to see an AI good enough to support an entire game like this one would need. If you ask me the game would be much better online. You could have Forests and each Forest would have different Wolf Packs. Wolf Packs would be like "Clans" in other video games. These packs can ally with other packs or attack them to try and gain more food and maybe more wolves for their pack. And if you ask me, you should start off as a loner wolf and seek shelter from another clan. Or if you have a friend in the clan you can have two people in that clan 'mate' and create a baby wolf that you can start off as. But it is a cool idea nonetheless, and I think it would be an awesome online survival type of game. Wolf packs fighting for survival... could be badass man!

Now that you mention it, an online sector would be a good idea. To those who read this, I officialy change this game to a online AND one-player game. Thanks for the excellent idea.

The whole mating thing...you wouldn't have to control THAT, now would you? That's just not right...Playing 10 generations, that's rediculous! Too long of a game, lasting 10 generation would just be playing the same game over and over. Instaed of playing the character of the new generation wolf, you should take care of them
