I know that this idea isnt possibly the best in the world and the details are edgy but I'm open to suggestions, so thets get on with it....

Idea:
  An rpg style game with a fighting battle system, weapons are included..

Story:
  So you start off in a Fmv as a teenager in your house,(time period modern, but could be classic) your mom doesnt wake you up as usual so you go downstairs to check on her when you get there you see a man standing over her with a bat, he runs off when you Call out to him, as you walk over to your mom you hear sirens out side, then the cops bust in and the game starts.....
you can either move to the yard and run, take on the cops, run and find your dad/s gun or go in peace...
if you chose to run you become wanted and have to lie-low, but eventually, you will have to confrount your mothers killer and fight him, he is the "boss" of the game in this storyline.
if you come in peace n fmv shows you going to a juvenile prison in which you learn the taste of authoity and like it so you become a trainee cop, eventually finding your moms killer and he will be the "Boss" again, but if your successfully take on the cops you will become a vigillante and hired by the local gang where you find the Killer and take him on there, this story ends with you becoming a gang leader,
if you run and find your dad you will join your dad in a search to find your moms killer on the way your father dies by one of his body guards, spiting you even more.
olong the running of the game you will face may battles, as a cop with criminals, looking for revenge, thugs, and as a gang member, innocents and maybe the cops, it will be nonlinear, so you can have alot of choice, but due to the variations you still have a main agenda.

Game play
 the main rpg style, could be like Diablo II, and the fighting, like dead or alive, if that didnt work with the weapons, a fps engine would be fine.

           Dad;dad
           Cop; the one whu helpped you in juvinile camp
           Killer; the one who killed your mom
minor: friends;school-collegues
           Famlily;uncles aunts
          Cops; others woking at the station ect
           Thugs/gang members; enough said?

Platforms
 Ps2/3- most games user friendly
PC- a multiformat game must
XBox- best graphic engine
