HOLLYWOOD.
THE STORY.
This game takes place in hollywood. you play the role of a movie making director. you have to make the best movie in the world that it airs the #1 movie for one month.
THE GAME.
to begin the game you must go through movie school. to pass movie school you must get good grades and get hired by a movie making company. your grades are the key to which movie company will hire you if you get all A's you are hired by Warner Brothers. if you get all B's you are hired by Colombia Tristar, and so on. there are five companies that can hire you but you need to work for the best by getting good grades. once you make it and pass school you go to work for the company that hired you. now for the work. you can choose to first hire a crew. depending on the company you work for you are given a required amount of money, for example if you work for Warner Brothers you are given $500 million. with the money you must hire producers, actors/actresses, writers, camera men, cameras, stages, equipment, props, computers( depending if you are working with CGI movies) there are alot of genre's movies that you can choose to make your movie on like action, drama, thriller, comedy, adventure, super-heroes, CGI, and so on. once you have chosen you must hire actors and actresses. the actors are based on real life people. you can choose to have Arnold Shwazzenneger, Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, Colin Farrel, Samuel L Jackson, Robert De Niro and so forth. every real life actor and actress is in the game to choose from but remember you can only hire from what your budget can provide. Once thats done you choose set locations, but remember you have to pay for the shipping and tickets. you begin shooting but first you must give your movie a name and its logo. once you begin shooting you have a variety of director dialogue commands to choose like "cut" "thats a wrap" and so on. once your movie is done you begin shooting the comercial for it. you air the commercial two weeks before it hits theaters. you can also edit the scenes and add stuff to it. the critics then see your movie and give it a rating from 0 stars to 5 stars. also the amount of money you make and the ratings depend on the score you get after the game is done. you get the scores at the oscars and the awards you get also depend on what you get at the end. if you get 5 or more oscars, over $500 million, and you make it with five stars and a #1 rating in America, the secret level will open. the secret level lets you air it worldwide and the company you work for will double your budget that you started and tell you to make the sequel to the movie.

This has a great amount of potential behind it. But I do have a few questions and concerns. How much control will the player have over each scene? Will the player be able to control each and every aspect of a particular stunt or kiss scene? You know: lighting, camera angle, amount of stuff destroyed by an explosion, etc. Also, how far will players be able to go in making their movies? I'm not one of them but I can almost guarantee that sickos will try to make porn with this game. Something needs to be in place to block this. And I don't mean strategically placed blurs. All in all, it's a great idea. Good luck.

Impossible!

Unless you are willing to run a supercomputer for 13.6 million years, this game is impossible. The complexity in a movie could never be expressed on a game. How would you get every possible scene, with all possible dialogue, etc? It takes 2 years to make most movies, and they have real actors, in the flesh. The amount of space needed to store every single possible movie clip is astronomic. It sounds more like a dream than a game, to me. To have preset movies, maybe 600 different shorts, would be reasonable, and the actors you hire would only be choosable if they were the main roles. Still, it would be hard to get over 300 actors to make tons of little movies. Or, you could just get premade movies like The Matrix, and Bruce Almighty, and 'make' them instead. Try simplifying the idea a bit, and it might just work.

I remember critics saying the same thing about The Sims™, before it became such a huge success: "...impossible, you would never be able to organize such aspects of a game" "...if you could, it would take an extreme amount of time and dedication". The critics are right, in the sense that, time and dedication is required to design/develope such a game. I must say that this game idea, in my opinion, is rather amature; but nontheless it has potential. Keep working hard!
