Story: After the events of Lethal Agent 2, there are only 3 Lethal Agents left, and only one of those is a viable force. Agent Lechat is so traumatized by her time traveling experience that she is on the edge of breakdown. Agent Shinomiya is getting older, and losing her edge as an elite intelligence officer. Agent Schrier is the only Agent still able to undertake the high risk missions of the Lethal Agents. And he has just been killed in action. Already on the edge of sanity, Agent Lechat believes that Agent Schrier was killed by order of the Global City Department of Intelligence (the commanders of the Lethal Agents) and sets forth a plan to destroy all of Global City. And deep within the GCDI HQ is the weapon she will use to do so: the Aurora space laser. The only person who even has a chance against Agent Lechat is Agent Shinomiya.
In this final installment in the Lethal Agent saga you can choose to either destroy Global City ( version Alpha: playing as Agent Lechat) or save it (version Beta: as Agent Shinomiya).
As Agent Lechat, you will have to invade GCDI and recover the components of Aurora: the launch protocols, the targeting software, the arming key, the firing key, the satellite itself and finally you will have to get to an old Freeval rocket site to launch the weapon. Be careful, though. You can't just go in and shoot and kill. Agent Lechat has an Insanity meter that rises as she defeats enemies. If the meter fills, she will finally lose whatever shred of sense she had left and go berserk. This is an automatic game over. To help you, the player, keep from filling this meter, gameplay with Agent Lechat will be more Metal Gear than Time Crisis, though there will be plenty of good old-fashioned shooting, fist fights and bullet dodging. That means that, while you still use the Guncon controller (these are light gun games), you will use that little D-pad on the back to walk around, a la RE: Dead Aim. The game will automatically jump into shooting mode when you need to bust a few caps, and into the appropriate modes when you have to fight or dodge. With Agent Lechat the name of the game is stealth.
As Agent Shinomiya, you have to stop or stall Agent Lechat. Agent Shinomiya is getting older and has a Feeble meter to monitor her actions. When this meter fills, her age catches up to her and she has a stroke from physical stress. She too will have to sneak through the building, as Agent Lechat has threatened many GCDI employees into joining her cause, and you can never be sure who is on her side.
The GCDI labs, where Aurora is being held, are very secure levels in the already heavily defended GCDI HQ. YOu will have to outwit and go around security checkpoints, follow roaming security guards through timed systems, and coerce lab workers into handing over their security keys. As with the first LA, you will be using the preferred weapon of your selected agent: Shinomiya's .357 Mag, and Lechat's Uzi.
In one level, you will be involved in pursuit on the congested streets of Global City. You will have to steer around the traffic and try to take out the other Agent (and the police) at the same time, like the motorcycle levels in LA2.
It all boils to a head in a final all out brawl at the rocket launch facility, where Agent Shinomiya uses a touch of trickery that will either save or destroy Global City. Whether or not this attack is successful or reversed will be the decisive moment.
I've added the stealth element to LA3 to give it a little more strategy than just plain run and gun shoot to kill. You will have to use strategy to over come the levels in this installment. But you're aim is still just as important as your stealth skills. So are your fighting skills. Just like in Metal Gear, there will be instances where you can't run or hide, you will have to fight to keep going.
