I'm a huge Olympic fanatic. I own every track and field game for playstation but they all basiclly end up going in the same predictable direction of typical gameplay. I suggest that programmers revitalize the Olympic genre.
I love Sydney200. It's just like the Olympics(when u have to qualify to go for the gold), but I have a few ideas that will get the fans roaring for track and field again.
First idea: College Track and Field Capture athletics with team spirit! Mascots, cheering, chanting crowds, band music, dynamic announcer and all the major College logos and colors. Each event equaling x amount of points. The grand total should determine who gets the gold, silver or bronze for their Alma Mater.
What is Track and Field without a 4X100m. relay?
Second Idea: a Goodwill Games.
It breaks the United States up into 4 regions. North, South, East, and West. All the origional colors corresponding to there regions. More like Sydney200 without all the rigorous training . Lets put in some fresh new events like judo,200m,400m.hurdles, water polo and wreslting. Players should be able to choose if they want a male or a female competitor.
Lets pump some blood into this lifeless corpse with both new and traditional ideas. Afterall, this is the new millenuim.
