You first have to create a profile of your self: Appearance, Name, Nationality, Position, Right foot or left foot and the club you support. Then you start off as nobody playing for a Sunday league team on a mud-drenched pitch. But you’re a nobody with a lot of potential, and the big name clubs across the world know that. That’s why they’ve sent their best scouts to come and check you out.
As you play the scouts are noting your progress and reporting back to their mangers. So the better you play and the better your results the better deal they’ll offer you. If you don’t play so well then it’ll take a longer time to get a good deal, or you’ll get an offer from a smaller team.
Once you’ve been signed you’ll be put into the reserve team and will be given chances to break into the first team. You have to perform well to impress the manager and secure your place in the first team. If you perform well enough you will get offers from other clubs, at home and overseas, allowing you to eventually play for your favoured team. You will also be available for international call-up, where you can help your national side to trophies. If you achieve superstar status you could even chat to your manger about the teams future. Maybe you want a pay rise, a bigger stadium or to recommend a talented player to sign. But make sure your good enough first because you might find yourself on the transfer list.
The overall goal of the game is to work your way up the football rankings and become the greatest player since Pelé. There are the standard trophies available (D3, D2, D1, Premiership, League cup and FA Cup) as well as overseas trophies (Spanish, Italian, German and French leagues) international cups and tournaments and European honours. You’ll have the chance to become the world’s greatest footballer, to score the winning goal in a FA Cup final or finally bring the World Cup back to England. Its an ego-maniacs dream and it forfills all the fantasies that you had when you were a boy. Well, the ones about football anyway.
