A senior collegean, Xavier Stokes, accepts a trip to Japan with a group of fellow aspiring journalist in attempt of photographing the most memorable sites for their retiering professor. ( A massive cut scene opens the game: Xavier signing a contract of agreement, packing then staring out the window of a plane. A few teaser scenes appear of Solid moving through a dark forest in a ninja suit, and Raiden emerging from a moon lite ocean.) A strange museum opens up on the day Xavier begins his mission and that is the first place he goes ( seeing as your friends leave you in the morning). After you rudley wake from a dream of bieng shot at, you take control and set out in the busy streets of Tokyo. As soon as you leave the appartment, you notice a robbery between a skinny scientist and a soldier wearing a black and red uniform with a sword across his back. The game is very free, (this is where the gameplay depends on the player) you could aid the scientist by fighting off the soldier, by this you anger him and he leaves, the scientist realizes your skill and he suggests you come to the HAME institute (thus your way into the metal gear building); you could ignore the situation and the scientist is killed in a cut scene, you then take his id and go into the HAME institute. After you choose your scenario you go to the Hyper Active Militia Enhancment building where you take pictures of a dragon shaped Metal Gear but this one is quit small and winged. Xavier is spotted and he frantically runs out of the six story building without a weapon in sight. Raiden and Snake pair up and are on the scene, they rescue you and your valuble photos. Xavier teams with the two in order to get a powerful story (he keeps this to himself or else snake will kill him). Thousands of objectives find their way in the path of Raiden and Snake and Xavier but their main mission is to locate and eradicate the new units before Liquid Snake's plan is unleashed, unleashing a massive attack on Earth's most powerful cities all at once.
An entire inventory of weaponry is here now, from the old faithful hand gun to the sonic wave blaster. New enemies come on the scene now; a powerful being known as Drake emerges on the villan list, he is the dragon that the Dragon Gear is based off of ( not a real dragon but a hybrid human scientifically enhanced with wings and scaled skin. He was brain washed into thinking he is a real dragon, that is his fatal flaw and how Raiden defeats him.... They fight about three times altogether.)The Zal Knights are a group of powerful Dragon Gear pilots who chase Xavier. Snake too gains another rival, Liquid's scientists create a hybrid clone of Snake, Liquid, and Ninja... the creation was to come out perfect but of coarse malfuncitioned and they called it Vapor Snake because when its anger takes over it moves fast and freely as gases. Dont think the journalist Xavier is free from danger, as he was requiring the photos, the Gear Soldiers got every detail of his appearence and they hunt him like wolves, his cleverness, small training of martial arts, and Snake has aided his survival. Raiden kept his sword from MGS 2, Snake is older now and his health really interacts with outcomes of missions now.
Please donot mistaken the Dragon Gear for a rip off of Final Fanasy 8's Rinoziar, you know that red ship. The Dragon Gear are a lot smaller, picture the Frames off of Zone of the Enders. Now picture enormous black organic wings emerging from the backs of a black and red robot... That is the Dragon Gear.
