The first mode is the original mode. In this mode 1-4 players control a team on quest while they learn abilities according to job and race. IN this mode your fights are not turned based and there is no HP. The only way to knockout or kill the foe is to strike them in the torso.
The second mode is war mode. It is very much like a war startegy game this way. Be on either side Monster or Men and see the consequences. The monster races are The Old Faeries ( Cait Siths, Kobolds, Leprechauns), The Orcs (Goblins, Hobs, and Feral Arachnos), The Mountain Monsters (Giants, Trolls, and Ogres.), The Undead, The Great Undead (Wraiths, Ghosts, Vampires, and Hags), and the Mother Earth (Animals and Shadow Elves). The men races are The Kingdom, The Empire, The Nation, The Tribelands, The Island States, and the Rebels. It is very much harder then original mode.
The final mode is character creation mode. So if you want to edit Arachne go ahead with this mode and make him a martialist. This also makes creating new questers fun and better. It includes new races such as Jaffy, Flurple, Cockerelas, and more.
The graphics are better then ever making it seem as if there really are Mantis People in a strange empire.
