This version of the Sims I think can stand on its own as a game for PS2, X-Box, Gamecube and so on, as well as an expansion pack for the computer game. It would play much like the original Sims, but on the Enterprise of course. I'm not a die hard Trekkie, but who wouldn't love a smis game in outer space? Think of the awesome clothes designs that could be thought up for the future, and the skins? You wouldn't have to settle for light or dark skinned, thick or thin build, you could be a Klingon! Or any one of a number of other races. And think of the neat futuristic furniture you could buy for your domocile. Anf for fun? Who can beat having a holodeck to play on? As far as jobs, there are any number on the enterprise to climb the career ladder on, from admin to become captain, to chief medical officer to head of security to engineering, and I'm sure a few more could be thought up. You could get a special bonus if you get chosen for an away team! As I said, it would play just like thw Sims, (I have a PS2, so bear with me) and you would start in get a life. How do you get a life in Star Trek? At Starfleet Academy of course! As your get a life character studies and does projects that partain to a particular field, they start gaining "knowledge" (blue bars) and once enough knowledge is gained, that career field opens up. For instance, if they repair a 'warp field generator' (pulled that out of you know where), they gain points in engineering. So, instead of the typical Sims deals of 'mechanical', 'creativity', 'cooking', 'logic', 'charisma', and 'body', they would have *engineering (which is mechanical, but 'mechanical' isn't a star trek enogh word). *Creativity, they can still paint, play instruments, carve, mold clay or do an interpretive dance. *Medical, which they can learn by a handheld computer, *Body, which needs no explanation. *Administration they can also learn from a computer, and *Charisma and *Logic wouldn't change. I dropped cooking because in the Star Trek universe they have food simulators and don't have to cook. So your get a life character unlockes each career field by reparing things, or gaining full knowledge of a subject. They get rewarded for gaining friends, other students at starfleet, by unlocking new skins, alien skins of course. You can even play pranks on students you don't like in the hallway or dayroom of the dorm. So you've unlocked the 'play the sims mode', and all of the careers and all of the other options, ie: skins, bunus decor you get for other little things you do like helping your roommate clean up the room when you first move in and fixing things when you first move in. Now it's time to play the Sims. You start the same way, by choosing your person, who they are, what they look like, how they will act and so on.. You can even have a fanily. You must start at a star base and choose from one of a few small domociles. From there you get your job (if you want to board the ship) and once you get promoted once, the ship will dockand you'll board. There you will choose the domocile that will be your home, one of seven on a deck depending on your income and family size, we all know how that works right? Decks work the same way as neighborhoods, seven homes per deck, no more than 4 per household, so you can have an entire ship of your creation! They can make friends, climb their career ladder, switch jobs, get robbed, have families and spouses can work too! The kids attend school right there on the enterprise. Well, there's my newest idea. Love it? Hate it? Did I leave anything out? Any suggestions or comments? -Gabrielle
