Now, Tetris Attack has another dimension, the 3rd dimension. Welcome to the Tower of Tetris Attack for Gamecube.
To understand my idea, you must know how to play Tetris Attack. This game might be the most colorful game ever made, if made. This will also be the first 4-player Tetris Attack game and 16-player online Tetris Attack game.
Important factor: ZxZxZ = length x width x height
What is the same? 6 different color panels, plus gray panels, Making and Getting rid of garbage blocks, Modes from Tetris Attack, Amount of levels of gameplay and cpu,
What is new? Size of the playfield, making garbage blocks' sizes, making combos and chains, new control commands, playing style
Controls: Analog Stick or D-pad: Move cursor and panel, that the cursor is lock-on A Button: Toggle Zoom mode B Button: Lock-on panel in cursor C Stick: Glance at a side, bottom, or top L Trigger: Turn playfield to the left R Trigger: Turn playfield to the right X Button: Push panel or block in the cursor Y Button: Pull panel or block in the cursor Z Button: Raise stack
Zoom Mode: In this mode, a number will appear on each visible panel and block. The lower the number, the closer it is to you. All functions are still able in this mode, except glancing.
Setup: The playfield is 6x6x12. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and Brown panels(only in multiplayer modes) are used.
Gameplay: If your stack hit the top, game is over. Your stack in a normal game will start as 5x5x5. Your stack will raise continuously, unless you make a combo or chain. Doing this will only stop it temporary.
Instead of switching panels, you can slide the panels. If you try to slide a panel into another panel, the other panel will switch places with your panel. You can not push a panel or block into another panel or block. You can't move, push, or pull panel(s) while it is disappearing.
You must line-up more than 2 panels, of the same color, to get rid of them. The panels can be lined-up horizontally, vertically, or 3D(line-up from front and back). Making combos(more than 3 panels line-up) are the same as usual. Making chains(a chain reaction of disappearing sets of panels) is the same as usual.
Garbage blocks: Garbage blocks are use in multiplayer modes. To make a garbage block, you must make a combo or chain. Depending on how the combo and chain is made, will determine the size of the garbage block(s). The garbage blocks will fall in a random position. Here is the attacking system:
Combos: Brown Panel Combo: add brown garbage blocks Horizontal Combos: add black garbage blocks Vertical Combos: add white garbage blocks 3D Combos: add gray garbage blocks 4 Panel Combo: add garbage blocks of 3x1x1, 1x3x1, or 1x1x3 5 Panel Combo: add garbage blocks of 4x1x1, 1x4x1, or 1x1x4 6 Panel Combo: add garbage blocks of 5x1x1, 1x5x1, or 1x1x5 7 Panel Combo: add garbage blocks of 6x1x1, 1x6x1, or 1x1x6 8+ Panel Combo: add more than one garbage block of random size
Chains: Horizontal Chains: add 1x0x0 to all falling garbage blocks Vertical Chains: add 0x1x0 to all falling garbage blocks 3D Chains: add 0x0x1 to all falling garbage blocks
A garbage block size increases until the chain stops increasing or it hits its limit(6x6x12). After hitting its limit, other garbage block(s)' size will increase and more garbage blocks will be added, until chain stops increasing.
To get rid of a garbage block; you must make a panel, touching the garbage block, disappear. The garbage block and all garbage blocks(of the same color) touching it and them will turn into panels. Other colored garbage blocks will not be affected, unless touched by an disappearing panel.
Options and Modes: The options are the same as Tetris Attack options. All modes are the same as Tetris Attack modes, plus there are more modes. All single player modes, except puzzle and versus, are also multiplayer modes. All multiplayer modes can use up to 4-players at once. Only one player can be replace with a cpu player. Each mode can be play at any level of speed for each player. The player that wins 2 rounds, wins the game. Here are the new multiplayer modes:
Racing: In this mode, each player must set the score to reach. The first player to reach that score wins that round. If a player's game is over, that player restarts with a score of 0.
Finish Line: This is a multiplayer mode of Stage Clear. The first player to clear a stage wins a round. After each round, the stage becomes harder.
Online Teaming: This is a team game where teams of the same number of players can play each other. It's one console against up to 3 other consoles. This is how it works:
Each player must choose their level of playing. The levels combined will be the team level. After choosing your level, you will be ask to go to the Tetris Attackers Team Site or the Tetris Attackers Outlaw Site. Either website will show you who's connected to it, the team level, and allow you to team up with others if your team doesn't have 4 players. In the Team Site, you are only able to play the teams with the same amount of players as your team. The Outlaw Site allows your team or you to play up to 3 teams or 12 players.
Team Site: Each player must choose only one player from each of the other team to attack. More than one player on the same team can't attack the same player. If one player game is over, that player team loses that round.
Outlaw Site: Each player must choose player(s) from the other team(s) to attack. More than one player can attack the same player. If a player has no player to attack, that player will be able to attack the player attacking it. If a player is attacking and not being attack, that player will be able to attack all players on all the other team.
I am finish with this game idea. If you are a pro at Tetris Attack, meaning you can defeat a level 7 cpu on a level 10 time trial, I would love to play you, because I am a pro. Also, all pros that play this game will make the game more intense.
