Learn Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry.
Game Art & Design Degree
Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.

SMB has a typical mario storyline. Bowser has captured Princess Peach, and it's up to Mario save her, and he is only armed with a paddle and a shell. He uses his paddle and shell to destroy the koopa's.

If you've ever played Breakout, you might know how gameplay takes place. For those who don't, you use a paddle similar to the one's in Pong, and you have to knock a ball around, using the paddle, to break the wall made of bricks. In SMB however, You have the ability to gain power ups taken from the Super Mario Bros. series. The mushroom makes your paddle bigger, the fire flower gives you 5 fireballs to shoot, the star gives the ball the ability to plow through koopa's, rather than deflect off of them.

Once you've cleared the screen, you move on to the next level. You play in worlds such as the underground, the forest, the desert, etc. Anyone who played any Mario game will be familiar with the levels set out for them.

Game modes include story, points, survival, and 2 player. Story plays out across many levels, points mode is just a mode to see how many points you can rack up, survival is a timed event that get progressivley harder, and 2 player puts you and a buddie against each other.
