Learn Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry.
Game Art & Design Degree
Westwoods’s game art & design program will teach you everything you will need to know before you apply for a job in the game industry.

This is a 2-player arcade-shooting game that requires a gun, quick reflexes, and good aiming. Also, you can send your scores online and compare them to others.

This game will have 7 main modes, 2 sets of 3 levels in each stage, and 52 stages to play.  This game will show you how to have fun with a gun without killing someone. Shoot projectiles that come to the screen. The objective of each mode is to reach the highest score you can.

Your screen is split into 9 parts, like tic-tac-toe. Each projectile will come from the center block to an outer block. You can't shoot it until it reach the outer block. Once it reach the outer block, shoot it until it is destory.

Most main modes has sub modes. Each level can be played in several ways. Here are the main modes:

Solo Mode: In this mode, only one player is playing in this mode. This mode allows the player to use one or two guns. Here are the sub modes:

-One Gun Mode: In this mode, the player use only one gun, but have unlimited ammo.

-Two Gun Mode: In this mode, the player use only two guns, but have unlimited ammo.

-Realistic Mode: In this mode, the player use only one gun, and must reload after every 6 shots.

Multiplayer Mode: In this mode, only two players is playing in this mode. This mode allows the players to play against or together. Here are the sub modes:

-Coop Mode: In this mode, the players must help each other survival by switching postitions when a player reloads.

-Versus Mode: In this mode, the player with the best shooting score wins. The score is determine by accruacy, shots, misses, aiming, and timing. Players will never have to reload.

-Realistic Mode: A Versus mode where each player must reload after every 6 shots.

Workout Mode: In this mode, up to 2 players can play. The mode allows the player(s) to choose how long the marathon of stages is or how many projectiles the player(s) must shoot before ending the marathon. The marathon is stage to stage mode with 3 seconds to rest in between stages. Each stage is at 1/4, 1/2, or 1 level difficulty.

Edit Mode: In this mode, you can customize each stage and level. You can choose what projectile come at what time to what block. You must save your customize stage to a memory card before using it.

Test Mode: In this mode, you play your saved customize stages and levels. You can play it in any way you like.

Nonstop Mode: In this mode, you must make a 3 or 5 stage marathon. You can use the original stages or your customize stages. Can you survival a 3 or 5 marathon?

Lesson Mode: In this mode, you will learn how to use the gun, what projectiles need to be shot more than once, and all the basic ways of playing each level. The ways of each level are turning, difficulty, and visual.

-Turning Way: When this mode is on, you must choose where the projectiles go. Here are the ways the projectiles turn.

--Left or Right: All projectiles will turn 90 degrees to the left or right.

--Mirror: All projectiles will move to the opposite side of the screen

--Shuffle:  Each projectile will go wherever it likes.

-Difficulty Way: When this mode is on, you must choose a special level for the projectiles. Here are the ways the projectiles react.

--Easy: All projectiles are single shot projectiles.

--Hard: All projectiles will look like single shot projectiles, but may not be single shot projectiles.

-Visual Way: When this mode is on, you must choose how the projectiles look coming at you. Here are the ways the projectiles will look.

--Memory: You will see each projectile until it reach an outer block.

--Surprise: You will not see each projectile until it reach an outer block.

--Hidden: You will not see each projectile until it hits you. You know what means.

All 52 stages have 2 sets of 3 levels; Normal Set and Realistic Set.

-Normal Set: In this set, the projectiles can't go to the outer corner blocks of the screen.

-Realistic Set: In this set, the projectiles can go to the outer corner blocks of the screen.

Each sets has 3 levels; Basic, Drill, and Reality.

-Basic: At least 150 pojectiles are launched at you.

-Drill: At least300 pojectiles are launched at you.

-Realtiy: At least 450 pojectiles are launched at you.

Each stage have great projectiles to shoot. Here are the 3 of the stages and there projectiles:

-Learner: Squares, Masks, and Cubes

-Cocky: Stars, Snowflakes, and Hearts

-SuperNova: Circles, Cogs, and Balls

Also, each stage has its on music and the background will change almost continuously.

I find this game idea to be rather intruiging. A game offering an enjoyable challenge and excluding all relations to violence may not sound interesting to the majority of audiences, but is indeed briliant; in my opinion. I have no doubt that others will view this through the same perspective. I do have a suggestion (an addition really), which might give this game an even greater challenge. Perhaps including additional projectiles which decrease the player's score, when shot, could be added (perhaps symbolize them as "skull and crossbones" figures). I assume each "regular" projectile increases the player's score. Adding these additional projectiles will demand an even greater amount of skill an perception. Obviously, the player will not want to target these specific projectiles, as lowering their score benefits none other than their opponent. An intriuging concept at that, gamerT2. Well done.

I agree with the previous commenter, but only to a certain extent. Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to put your idea down, but the type of game has been done before, however only in the arcades with that police trainer. If you don't hate me by now i have three suggestions for your game. I might have missed this in your detailed description, but maybe you could have bonus levels if the player reaches a certain score. Such levels could include gold coins. Another idea is that you could have projectiles that act as powerups. Some might include energy boosters, or speed multipliers for the speed of appearance for the projectiles or maybe multipliers for the scores for a certain amount of time or the next 10 shots. The last suggestion that i wanted to make is that the game seems too "bang bang bang". I like it because your not promoting violence, but there needs to be a reason behind a game. Sorry of the words were harsh, i mean well, and i hope whatever comments you get you take as instructive criticism. I do like the idea thought ;-)
