The year is 2015 and using a special satelite in space is deployed to slice part of california away from america too make a maximum security prison. The rules are simple in america now, break a law but not just any law like murder or bank robbery, saying a swear word or letting your dog take a crap with out clearing it up will result in going to devils island for the rest of your life. Now many people have tried to escape some of them the toughest crimanals you've ever seen but even they can't get past the wall surrounding america. Now you play Jack Montana sent to the island for breaking law 001, MURDER! But the thing is your best pal Tony was the real killer but decided to bin it on you by leaving you nocked out on the scean of the crime with a baseball bat sticky with the dead guys blood. Now devils island still has its own law officers to arrest your ass if you do something wrong. Now you arrive and get your ass whuped by the local gang. In the game you get your own back on the gang who beat you lets call them the red hoods, run errads for the crime boss nown as the devil and help his contacts then you gotta run a couple of errads for other local gangs to get recourses too break out and get back too american soil. Then you get your own back! Just like the older games theres all the free roam stuff i hope you like it.

Yes indeed congratulations on turning the US Justice System into the most oppressive thing on the planet. Even in 2015 I doubt things will be so bad as to make swearing a capital offense. For that one thing, this game falls straight into my ridicule bin. Even if the entire state of California was cut off of the US, there wouldn't be enough room to keep nearly everyone in the country (probably about 350 million by that time) there. Rethink this entire game Idea. Fast. Dare to Dream.

Too short

first of all, this idea is way too short. You have a basic idea but no substance. One thing that i'm not really getting is how this game would be a GTA game. To me it really sounds a bit like Manhunt (also by Rockstar games) for some reason (maybe when you mentioned "red hoods"). I mean you say that all of california is used to hold criminals, ok. And it's now a gigantic prison, full of guards and extremely heavy security, fine. But do they really let inmates drive around the city or do as they wish? obviously NOT. So when you're on this "devils island" are you constantly running from the guards/"special" police, or are you allowed to be cruising around a maximum security prison the size of a state? I can see what your initial idea was, i actually think it would be very cool to make a game based on having to work your way up and survive in a huge jail and eventually escape or something (anyone remember the action/rpg Dark Savior for Sega Saturn? that was a great game), but i really don't think associating the idea with Grand Theft Auto helps anything or accurately reflects what you're trying to make. Whenever i see a "sequel" idea to a real game, it just makes me cringe. Good idea, bad implementation.

"Dare to Dream" is right. I don't think that needs to be said though, as this idea does show SOME original concepts. A little more info would be better though. Keep it up.
