Main Idea: In this game you play as one of the three characters you choose from the beginning of the game: Patrick, Sophia, or Dylan. Each characters game focuses on their storyline. The main story base of all of the characters is to slay DarkShadow, the ruthless emporer of the demons. Plus some other goals that each character has differently.
Story: Hundreds of years ago, a warrior by the name of Kei had slain a dark evil named Hydrus and all of his followers. He had saved his town from annihilation. And he remained to protect it until his death. We then jump to the present day city of Chicago where Patrick, Sophia, and Dylan discover they have inherited the power of Kei. They soon find that the demon world has opened a dimension gate in the city. Soon the news is overflowing with reports of attacks by monstorous creatures throughout the city. They are given their weapons through a portal in the street and are told to fight the evil and slay it once and for all. DarkShadow was born into a family of demonic conquers who have sent him to Earth to defeat any opposion and rule the planet. DarkShadow's ancestor was the famous Hydrus known for his defeat from Kei. DarkShadow is sworn to rule this world.
Gameplay: I would want this game on Ps2 because it is the widest selling system. First you select start new game, select character and select difficulty (easy,normal,hard,suicide).You start out in a tutorial level in which you learn your main controls and button functions. The controls would be customisable to fit any gamers feel. You would earn experience points by defeating enemies and your attacks would be progressivley stronger and your health ammount would get progessivley bigger. As you go on through the game, you could buy or earn new moves and items. You would also earn currency when you defeat enemies. You can use currency to buy extra weapons, different items such as healing potions or damage fields, or experience points. Your weapons (considering guns) would have infinent ammo. The harder the enemy is, the more currency and experience it would give you. The controls would be you tilt the control stick in the way you want to run (tilt the stick farther to run and shorter to walk). This game would probably be raited M for violence, blood and gore, and mild language. I think this would make a great game because of the deep storyline that would follow the three characters and character interaction with other things like other people, objects, or enemies. You could also unlock extras and cheats by completing a hard task in the game, completing a time trial run (defeat all enemies within a given time limit), or you could simply buy some extras with your currency. Some extras can only be unlocked by beating the game, though.The game would be in anime because I also like anime and I see a major lack of anime games. Also, your enemies range from humans, to demons or nightmare creatures, or bosses.
The default controls are as follows: L1 and L2=item selection, R1and R2= weapons selection, L3= crouch (press once to crouch; press again to stand up), R3=First person mode, triangle=jump;cancel, circle=use gun, square=use sword, x =action;check;select, L thumbstick=moves character, R thumbstick=camera control, start= pause to options menu (where you can ajust controler config;save game; load game; and quit game), select= gameplay menu (where you can select gun, select and use item, or quick save)
Environment and graphic effects: The environment would be dark, usually night time. You would either be playing inside of a building, on the streets, on rooftops, or in demon world. The graphics would be clear but dark, streetlights would flicker and cause shadows to creep up on the walls and the ground. The damage effects would be gorgeous. If you swung at a wall with you sword, it would cause a slashing sound, leave a mark, and tiny sparks would fly off as soon as the blade hit the object. If you threw something like a box, it would respond differently depending on what it hit and where it hit it at. Wood would splinter overtime and dull down. Sidewalks would become more reflective if it was raining. Rain would sound differently depending on what kind of object it is hitting and how close you are to hear it. Also, flames would cinder and burn the surface of what it is burning differently deppending on what kind of thing it is burning. Walls would chip and break with gunfire. Things could be smashed in different ways. And trees and vegetation could be cut or cut down. Doors could be broken down or tacticly brought down by shooting the hinges off. Just about every surface you could damage. If you shot an enemy, you could dismember body parts and shoot off chunks of the enemy and spray blood on surfaces. Surfaces would also react to different liquids.
Music: Music would play in certain areas or depending on the sittuation (surrounded by enemies, boss battle, etc). The music would be gothic or very disturbing depending on the situation or very moody or piano.
Difficulty: It would take a normal human being about 8 hours of gameplay to beat easy mode. As the difficulty gets higher, your chances of survival diminish and it starts to take a lot longer to beat hard mode than easy.
Final Word: I believe this game would be very good but it might always remain an idea. Oh well, at least other people can see it.
