STORY:
    The story about this game is that you are a rookie street racer who just found interest in this sport. You attend regular night racing tournament to watch the "big dogs" battle it out in true street racing. You make friends with a "big dog" named Michael Murray. he offfers you his first car and challenges you to a race. Michael works for the Road hogs racing gang, and a new season of fresh new racing will begin. The road hogs are looking for a new member since one of theirs got killed. Michael who's your friend challenges you and if you win you keep his 1st car (he has two) and a permanent membership to the Road Hogs gang. Here is the first level. Once you win you are a new Road Hogs member and you own your first car. As the story goes on you go through David Murray's ( Michaels father) school of street driving. here you need to pass to go on. The story continues after you pass the school. Once the new season of racing begins you compete to earn money, car-parts, hell even new cars and the respect you get for how well you reprsent the Road Hogs gang.

1) CARS:

    There are many cars you can you can earn or buy in Street Racer 04. each car is different from the last and each have weak points and strong points. Some cars that are beginners are:

Toyota Camry
Chevy Malibu
Chevy Impala
Dodge viper
Toyota Celica
Ford Taurus
Volkswagon Buggy

There are some other beginner cars to choose from, those are just a few. You dont have any options here accept to paint these cars. Some that are middle class cars are:

Chevy Corvette
Ford Focus
BMW Z8
Chevy Malibuu Maxx
Chevy Silverado
Chevy Colorado
Jeep Cherokee

   These cars are better than Beginner cars because they have higher capabilities, and you can use pick-up trucks.There are also a bunch more. in middle class cars you get a new option of customizing your car from suspension to Wheels and to color, though all this you must buy.

   The last class of cars are the advanced class which include some of these:

       In this class you can also cusutomize your cars all over like wheels, Rims, Suspension, Tire Types, Engines, and a new feature of NAS, or Nitro Boosters. You can change colors and you can also ride SUV's.

2) ENEMIES:
  There are many enemies in Street Racer 04. The enemies are in two groups, from Racing Gangs to Cops. You will need to watch out because many of these enemies can challenge you not just for your money but also for your cars. when you race for a car, and you win you gain the opponents car and if you lose you lose your car. When playing for money the opponent will choose how much you need to give up unless you challenge the person. Money is Extremely handy because it could sometimes mean Fame or Shame when you win or lose it all. When you Race some street Racers, Can be Undercover cops so you need to make sure you win and hightail it out of there. When racing an under cover cop you will know because he can play you dirty. Once you win you will enter "escape mode" here you will need to reach your hideout under a time limit before the undercover cop rats you and you are busted.
If you do loose then you are busted and you will come back after your time in jail. when you do return you continue though at scratch and half your fame.

3) UNLOCKABLES:
     This game also fetaures Unlockables. some of these unlockables range from car parts to cars and from "connections" to money. Cars that you can unlock are Huge SUV's already customized with the best parts like the tricked out Land Rover or a fully loaded Turbo charged Dodge Ram with a hemi engine. Car parts include engines, to turbo NAS, to hydrolics. You might be wondering what "Connections" are. Connections are when someone challenges you and if you have a fair race you will make friends. Once you do that Your friend if you happen to race with him, will help you by taking care of cops or even letting you win, but this is street racing nothing is free. You will also have  to give the man some respect. If you have good chemistry and you get busted he will bust you out  and get you outta there in no time flat. Though if he busts you out you will get a 60% chance that the cops are on your ass. When your partner gets in trouble you will either have to bail him out or break him out. When you break out somebpdy you will enter "Break In" mode where you have to use your cars to break the jail walls and get your man out. though there are many problems you will encounter such as damaging your car and police fire. once you got your man you will need to escape and re-paint your car. You might also need to sell or trash it cause it could be banged up alot

4) MODES OF PLAY. 
There are many modes of play. you can have a 2 to 4 player drag race, money race where you play for money and if you win it will carry out to your story mode. there are also pure street race's where you customize your cars and go head to head. tournament mode is also available, in which you can play for the grand prize of  $50,000 which is carried on to stroy mode. there is also a tutorial in which you can learn to play the game, and options which lets you choose the sound video, screen and controller options. Sorry there is no difficultty level to change for those siisies who cant take the heat.

5) STORY MODE: DETAILED VERSION 
 Now I really get into the story. In story mode you play to be the best of the best and to have the title of beating the best. Story mode starts of at David Murray's school of street racing, and goes on to the streets and to all over America and if you are really good then it goes all over the world. This has a mix of Midnight Club 2 And Need for Speed: Underground. As you progress the game gets harder and harder, though they are some easy to beat races. You can start some bitter rivalries and some sweet friendships. once you get better you can join other gangs or even start your own. The game always begins in your garage where you view your cars, customize them, check out your next Races and go to the street Shop. In your garage there is a meter called the "fame or shame" meter. This meter shows how well respected you are, or how badly you are treated. The meter fills up to 100% so if you have upto 60% then you are okay but people hate you 40%. The more respect you have the better the races are and the better the prizes are. In your garage you can also auction your cars for half the price you bought unless equipped with new car parts. When you choose the paint option you can paint your car but depending on the size matters, because if you have a huge SUV and only 2 gallons of paint then you cant paint it at all. Each car, when bought shows how much paint you need when you are taking it for a paint job. Once you start a race a new cut-scene will play and you will see who you are racing what the stakes are and where you are racing. At the end of the race a cutscene will show depending on wether you lost or won. During races you will race through huge tracks. each of Your cars have a GPS, unless if you dont then you need to buy one at the shop. With the GPS you can know all the shortcurts or the most fastest way to the finish line. As the race progress's and you encounter a cop you will be aoutomatically reported and back-up patrols will arrive. The only way out is to hightail it to the finish line. Ther are also times where yuo can damage your car by bumping, grinding, and landing horribly of ramps. If you flip, its over no turning back at all, unless miracously it lands on its wheels. Ramps can include Draw bridges, rooftops if you manage to land or jump on one, and Broken debris such as: construction areas and digging area's. Parts of the car you can damage are tires, steering, gear-box, engine, NAS, and braking. Other people can play dirty and use weapons such as  razor edges on their cars to grind into you. Thats about it
