Air War Over Africa
The Plot The war has been raging on for months now in Africa, you Officer Jonathon Parker, a pilot of the American Air force, have been elected to run secret missions, varying from dogfights to blowing up trains. After you have served for ten missions, you will be then required to train at a Air Force school, and be looked upon by the students as a God, or you will given in your wings, and go home as a hero.
The Pilot Jonathon Parker Age: 24 Gender: Male Height: 5’11 Weight: 170 lb. Job: Fighter Pilot Favorite Airplane: P-38 Lightning
The Planes There are four types of planes that your character will use in the game, these planes are, the P-40F Warhawk, the P-38F Lightning, the B-17 Flying Fortress, and the B-24D Liberator, now some of these might not be actual plans that served in Africa, but they were powerful machines. All the fighter planes will have an unlimited supply of machine gun ammo, rockets, and 50 lb. bombs are not unlimited, both fighter planes can only carry two 50 lb. bombs, or one rocket. The two bombers can carry thirty 50 lb. bombs, and ten rockets or they can carry eighty 50 lb. bombs or thirty rockets. At the beginning of each level you can pick the secondary weapons of the plane you are using. All of the bombers have gun emplacements going up the body and the underbelly, as well as the tail of the plane; these guns only have 5000 rounds each.
The Enemy The enemy will range from fighter planes, soldiers, trains, flak cannons, battleships, bombers, and basses, all which are destroyable, when the enemy attacks you, they will do it with no mercy, they will not stop attacking until you are dead, so no surrender.
The Levels There are ten levels in this game, ranging from dogfights, attacking freight trains, blasting buildings apart, and firing on enemy troops. The levels should take about thirty minutes each to beat if not more. In the beginning of each level your commander will tell you what your objectives are while you are flying towards the enemy area. None of the levels have a time limit, a player may take as long as they like to play each level and explore. Every level has an unlimited supply of enemy fighters, every time you destroy the fighters that are on your radar a new group of three will appear, if you are on a bombing run, a group of eight enemy fighters will appear each time, but on bombing runs you will have the protection of the other bombers, your group will normally have twelve bombers, that have unlimited supply of ammo, and they do attack the enemy fighters.
The Design This game is a flight simulator, rolled into a World War II fighting game, the graphics on this game need to be pretty sharp, because you will be spending all of your time in battle.
The Sound Sound quality needs to be sharp as well, because there is a lot of sounds that you will want to hear, for instance when your airplane is hit by enemy machine gun bullets you will hear the clank noise that bullets make when going through metal, you will also hear conversations going on with your bodies, especially when in a bomber.
The AI The AI in the game is medium, fighters will not keep attacking the same way each time, they will know when to dodge your rockets or when to try and shack you off their tails, they will be able to do barrel rolls and dives. They will also say things in Germen, French or American; they will also bail out of their plane sometimes when shot down.
The Animations There are facial animations in the game; you will see your characters face in the top left corner, When he is talking his eyebrows, eyes, and lips will move, when you get hit by flak and bullets, he will have a scared expression on his face or an angry expression. The fpm of bullets should be around 30 or 40 if not slower, so that you can see the bullets in time. The fpm for rackets and bombs, should be around 40 to 50, because when a rockets is fired you will see a smoke trail, and when bombs fall you will see a big shape falling.
The Intro The into will be pretty neat, when you turn on the game a enemy fighter plane is flying away, but then he sees you, so he turns around and starts to fire, bullet holes appear on your screen, and cracks start to appear, after he fires a few more rounds you zoom out, and you are suddenly outside your plane, and then with a final burst of fire, the enemy sends your plane down in flames. The menu then appears.
The Menu The Menu is cool, a enemy fighter comes flying in from the side and fires a rockets, your top button will appear after the rocket passes, the plan then leaves, but the rocket again appears out of the left side and does it again, but this time lower so you option button appears. It will keep doing it till all five buttons appear, these buttons are, Start a New Career, Options, Basic Training, Load a Career, and Play intro Movie.
