Gaming has provided us a realm where anything is possible. Absolutely anything! Broadband Gaming has added a new dimension to this world. You could achieve in this virtual world what you can't in the real world and now with the advent of broadband gaming you can be known by the whole world. EverQuest has achieved quite a following in regards to this. GOLDEN BOOT plans to do much more.
GOLDEN BOOT will be designed to rekindle the footballer in you. Every kid dreams of being a world class footballer one who is known as much for his looks as for his skill, David Beckham being a prime example. The purpose of the game is to immerse the enthusiast into the life of a footballer and be as close to the real thing as possible.
As and when you get GOLDEN BOOT you get 11 Career paths of a Footballer to choose from i.e. all the 11 positions on the field. The only option you don't get is Coach/ Manager this Career option needs to be earned. If at anytime down a career path, you feel you could do better in a different position, you can start from scratch on another path and the old career option will be reset, only once you complete a career will you no longer have that option. {Business here has the freedom to decide whether the customer has to buy Careers once he mess' them up.}

Why GOLDEN BOOT will stand out? Till now all the football games that have come out, allow multiplayer options but they do so only as a 2 teams i.e. 2 players playing controlling one team, GOLDEN BOOT, will allow 11 individuals to participate as a team against 11 other individuals. The game is based to allow the normal gamer to live out his dream of being a footballer albeit in the virtual world. Many of us are capable of unbelievable feats in the virtual realm that we would never be able to achieve in the real world. As you grow you can move from club to club and be transferred to play as a part of other teams across the world, although this all depends upon your expertise. All teams will take part in a yearly WORLD GOLDEN BOOT CHAMPIONSHIP apart from other competitions, which will decide the Best Team in the world, and along the way choose the GOLDEN BOOT player of the world. Once you and your team become strong and reach great heights you will be recognized as world class players in this realm, which will mean more recognition within the gaming fraternity along with what I hope as sponsorship for your team as it grows, just like in the real world.
Competition to this game: All the multiplayer games that exist as of now focus on the team as a whole. GOLDEN BOOT does that but also focuses on the individual. The game's automated TALENT SCOUTS will be constantly looking out for players who outshine the others, the TALENT SCOUT for that region will then generate a list of matching clubs that a player can likely play for, and then it is between the player and the club to reach a deal. Players who cant sign up for any clubs, can make one of their own, getting other players to join their club.
Games Look: The game's look and feel will be much like the popular FIFA game series by EA Sports. The game will include grounds from all across the world to play matches on, and each team will be given its own ground once it reaches the club level, this will allow a team to invite other teams to compete with it. Player realism and detail will be to the maximum allowing gamers to model their avatar as close to themselves as possible. Along with being able to participate in a game, there will be seats available to every game that is being played, as well as video clips of the main games to watch.
Game Play: Game play will allow for all the moves of a human football player. The final execution depends upon the sequence of moves that a gamer chooses. Thus giving each player his trademark move, along with all other moves. This will help set players apart. Along with this, a player gets to choose what sort of characteristics he wants in his avatar: speed, control, stamina. There 100 units that have to be distributed amongst the three characteristics. Only with practice and winning certain events can one increase individual characteristics. {This is left for business to decide, whether one can buy some units, although there is a maximum limit of units one can posses.} The player will also get to choose outlook based upon different regions in the world. Game play will allow a player all the camera options in the normal FIFA series, along with allowing him to swivel his head in order to look out for team mates while moving with the ball, allowing a player realistic game play. There will be a small side screen which will tell the approximate position of the closest team mate.
User Interface: User Interface will be kept simple and minimum to allow for one to directly go to the game/ practice as soon as possible. Other than the normal gaming screens the game will also include a CHAT Area wherein a team along with its MANAGER can decide upon team strategy and game plan. You can also invite other people to your CHAT Area to decide upon strategy and planning. There will also be an option to look back at previous games, not only your, but your opponents, which will help you in planning for the next encounter.
Details: As a gamer you will get the option to play the following positions on the field Left Forward Centre Forward Right Forward Left Offensive Mid Fielder Right Offensive Mid Fielder Left Defensive Mid Fielder Right Defensive Mid Fielder Left Full Back Centre Full Back Right Full Back Goal Keeper All these other positions are self explanatory, these are the 11 Career Path that one can choose from in the beginning. There is another position that can be won and that is the COACH/ MANAGER.
Manager: To become a manager one has to complete one of the 11 Career paths, and his services should be required by some club and he can apply for being the Manager of that club. The manager is free to play his players in any position he likes, not the one that a player has specialized in, this can be done through the mutual consent of Human managers and the players only. This cannot be done by virtual managers. This will make Human managers important. If a player is good at his new position, a manager can change the position of that player permanently, this will change the CAREER PATH of a player, and the old Career will be added to the main options while the new one will be removed. This will allow a player to change career paths in the middle and not loose his experience by not having to start from scratch. A Manager also has the prerogative of finding and choosing the right talent and increasing the squad strength as per the team requirements. The team can have a maximum of 20 players on its team sheet at any given time.
Teams: As you start the game, you can take part along with 10 other players who play different positions and form a complete team and register with us as a team, or will enter a pool of random players from the same region. On the whole there should be 11 different players playing 11 different positions in one team. As you start playing as a team, you will be put into one of the local groups within your region. You are free to practice anytime with your team, but this will be on the availability of grounds, as you are just a team you will not have the best of facilities yet. You have to start playing games within that local group as per the roster. Once you do well in the local group, you along with your team will be moved up a level to play regional games. Once you come in the top few teams of your region {Business to decide cut off level} you will be transformed into a CLUB. A club, which has its own ground and training facilities. By training further you not only enhance your skill but can practice playing like a unit. And because you have now become a club a MANAGER will be allotted you. In the beginning you will have an automated manager in case there are no human managers available, as and when they become available, the TALENT SCOUTS will give your club the list of managers, and the managers a list of available clubs, it is up to you to then decide upon your compatibility. At all levels you are free to play with any team as long as both the team agree and there is no conflict with the pre scheduled events. Once you surpass the regional challenges you become part of the NATIONAL LEVEL 3 Tier System. Your club joins the lowest tier, and has to be in the top few teams to jump into the next tier. The top clubs of each tier will get "Golden Money" to play with. This will help them buy better kits and retain top talent and managers within the clubs. {Business has to decide how much of the sponsorship deal money will go to players.} The "Golden Money" will be given out accordingly at all levels. Using "Golden Money" you can buy other players from across the globe to play in your team. They don't have to be from your region. TALENT SCOUTS will always provide a list of available players at any given time. There will be two transfer windows for transferring players.{Exact days to be decide.} Players from the NATIONAL LEVEL 3 Tier System will be chosen to play for their respective country. Human Managers are needed for National Teams. The managers of National Teams can hold meetings with other managers within the country to bring about changes in training methods and bring in new talent.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- The whole feel of the game depends upon the talent of the actual implementation team; this game I feel can rival the current football structure in the real world by allowing play between clubs from around the world. This will also allow gamers to live their dreams of being recognized as World Class Football Players whose popularity rivals that of real world football players. I also feel that there is a lot of Business opportunity in this, as a there can be huge sums by sponsorship deals which allow the huge clubs to be geared in the sponsors kits. There can also be money charged for watching the big games at the higher levels. A person can simply buy Spectator Time without having to buy the game itself, all he will need is his Spectator Registration Number. There is a lot of scope in providing merchandise not only for the players themselves, but for the fans of the respective clubs. All in all I see a lot of opportunity in this idea of mine, depending upon the implementation and marketing.
But I would love if someone makes this game and gives it out for free just for the sheer fun of getting to play football. All the people out there who love football, should get this game for free and enjoy it to the fullest. Future Scope: In case technology constraints restrict the scope of the game, future enhancements that I think which will improve game play are enhancements in sound and video. Sound: When a player has his speakers on, he will hear a call from his team mate from the direction in which his team mate is standing on the field. This will give a real life feeling during game play. This depends not only on the speaker system, but also on the software limitations. Video: When a player chooses a bigger screen, his view of the field should increase, meaning a much more better experience for players, who are playing on bigger screens, this way, the player will get a full view of the field, just like in real life. Although accommodation should be made to provide best quality on average monitor displays as most people have them.
