I really don't know what category my game idea would go in but lets say action. Anyway, people have always been intrigued by the unknown of what goes on behind the walls of our prison system. My idea is to make a game about prison. You would be playing the part of a Correctional Officer. The game would be interactive and would have first person and third person perspectives. As an officer you would make your rounds in the prison, different situations would happen, and you would have to react to them.
For instance, lets say that you are walking down the gallery and you see that there is 5 or 6 inmates that have an officer held hostage, well you would want to activate the tactical unit. When you do this the game would then be more along the lines of Rainbow Six, you would have to make a plan and then put it in action. You would then play the part of one of the tactical members. If you decided to be superman, and try to save the officer on your own, then you could move your character towards the inmates, and then fight like one of the wrestling games. You would be able to use mace and call on your radio for back up.
The game would also let you play as a catwalk officer or tower officer, here you would have to keep a close eye out for anything that might happen and then react accordingly. The game would be something I think a lot of people would be interested in playing. The name of the game would be "THE BIG HOUSE"
I worked in one of the toughest prisons in this country for six years, and if any game developers need a Technical adviser, drop me a line. I probable could line up a tour of the prison to help with the looks of the game. I would really like to see this game made, and I give full permission to use my idea, it would be nice to be apart of it though. It really would make a fun game. Semper Fi,
