Mi Lu is Japanese, roughly translated it means the hidden path. It is the philosophy and idealism behind this game. Please take in mind this is soley my creation although it has been to some degree inspired by other writings, movies games, and ideas. It is original enough that it is copyrighted to my name.... ummm Jeff Huey ( damn legalities )! Don't even think of taking my game or I will due something very nasty.....Just call me Seizer Koze.(for you usual suspect lovers)

This is purely the story and not the gameplay. Unfortunately for you its the gameplay that will shine even above this storyline. Lets just say you will most likely die before you get sick of this game. And in the unlikely case that you do get sick before you die I will either 1. arrange for a personal beating with my collection of weapons by me so you can rest in peace 2. I will point out that your probably a stupid Dreamcast fan and then laugh and mock you in your unknowing ways and 3. I will sit down and make a sequel that is actually not horribly done ( oh my can that be done??????! oh my god the crow 2

This game will have net multiplayer storyline along with those who have beaten the game it will have net deathmatch. Its is a adventure game kinda but not of the norm. It is actually in its design phase. It is designed for ps2 and its capabilites. Including the usb port on the back for a voice recognition system setup. All highly important parts of the game will be kept secret until I get into the industry and make this game.

All characters are purely fictional and original, and not all of them have been written. I don't like to steal ideas from anyone. please tell me what you think.

ANCIENT SCROLLS
An ancient scroll fortells a story of a mad god thrown out of Olympus (valhala,heaven, or what ever you call the place the gods live!) A god called Kabal (or Kali in some religions.) was cast out for trying to rule the human world. His main followers were from a hidden cult in and around Asia. He was cast down to earth so that if man truly deserved to remain a hero would eventually come to destroy Kabal.Kabal has since found his followers and gained a island stronghold somewhere near Japan.

Another scroll foretells of the one thing the gods fear. The shadow dragon (one of the mythalogical titans) , the representation of the hate and evil of mankind. The only way to raise the dragon is to find the helm of the dragon armor and the eyes of the Naga. With these artifacts, the right alignment of stars, and an ancient chant, the dragon will appear and over the course of a few days will become to powerful for anything to destroy it!

PAST
The old tale of demons
Years and years ago in the time of fuedal japan, in the time of warriors, death before dishonor, of shogun, ninja's, samurai, and bushido, laid a castle in on a island fortress. a castle so huge its tallest tower could see over the mountains and onto the battlefield. There a clash of lives battled for survival, one the kagura ninja clan fights against the samurai of the dark, the evil cult of kabal.
Although the battlefield thundered, the focus of the attack was to have a small team of the best ninja to infiltrate the castle and capture the helm of the dragon armor before Kabal could get the eyes. Just as they reached the helm Kabal appeared and fought the leader of the kagura team, Ashida Yamada (Ashida kim is a ninjitsu master I respect, yamada is a name I got somewhere else)!

Ashida was legendary even before his death, He fought Kabal with everthing he had, the team grabbed the helm and made the escape, but only made it out the door and into the hall where they were cut down by a mysterious man known as Oblivion. All anyone knew of him is that he was Kabals 2nd in command and had the power to read minds and regenerate himself and others.
Ashida felt what happened to the others and disappeared from Kabals sight with a quick cloud of smoke. He ran out into the hall to see Oblivion laughing, "I've been waiting for you Ashida, I'm sorry for your friends and oh your wife(one of the other ninja on the team a female by the name of Shadow Lotus was the wife of Ashida)!" Ashida lashed out at Oblivion attacking with duel ninja-to(pronounced nin-ja-toe, the ninja version of a katana, it is a straight somewhat short blade) In a few seconds Oblivion lay on the ground with the rest of the bodies, still and bloody. Ashida bent down to kiss his dead wife on the forehead and tried to pick her up but he was to weak, he said he would see her soon, grabbed the helm and ran as best he could. The battle had turned and the kagura retreated, Ashida lived long enough to walk up to the gates of his home village and there he fell to the wet ground still clutching to the helm. He was honored for what he had done for everyone and was burried in a tomb.

PRESENT
Centuries pass and Kabals cult grows in strength and in wealth. Legends die and only but a few clans retell the tale of Ashida. The time though grows short for Kabal regained the helm a hundred years ago and has found the eyes of naga. The eyes of naga are very special to the clan of naga that still exist in this world who live in a area in south America.(naga is an ancient myth of serpent like people)and they had been stolen and the clan wiped out to Kabals knowledge by Armageddon, a naga who was promised by Kabal to gain power and have a place in his army.(there are (now)7 demons of Kabal, to become a demon you must betray someone(s)close to them to show that they will do anything Kabal orders. Armageddon is the last demon in the group.) Croc is also a survivor, a great naga warrior who at the time was taking some younger naga out on a journey. He came back to find the village destroyed and on fire. The place stunk of Kabals army, he also smelled the scent of Armageddon, a rogue naga who has had problems with the tribal council. Croc went to the only friends of the naga, the kagura ninja clan from the mountains of Japan. Croc told the clan what had happened and it was quite alarming. Kabal had the eyes and the helm and in 3 weeks the stars would align. The clan had only a few good ninja left. Over the centuries many wars took place to keep Kabal from getting the helm and once he had gotten it the kagura would send teams to get it back. Many ninja had died recently in a attack on Kabal.

The clan had a few people who were scientists at a well known company called Biotech. The company had top secretly been working on cloning, as well as cybernetic suits and muscle enhancements. The clan had only one chance to stop Kabal, and that was to clone Ashida Yamada (memory, if you don't know is also imprinted into genes)The clan opened up the tomb of Ashida and got a sample of bone marrow. The process took 14 days to complete, Ashida's new body began to breathe and he awoke in horror. They explained to him what has happened and that he was the only hope of the world and the gods(and goddesses)! He agreed to do whatever necessary but his body wasn't top form. So they fitted him with a newly designed cybernetic suit with built in muscle enhancements. Wiring him into virtual reality would allow him to learn to use the suit and to quickly learn weapon and advancements in technology! It took a day for him to learn everything he needed. He met his team of ninja who each specialized in something.

Midnight Panther a female ninja with a short sword who specializesin silent assassination. she is the highest ranked in the team.

Tigerclaw specializes in climbing and gaining entry. His weapon of choice is the hand claw which he wields with great skill.

His twin brother Lynx also is on the team.A silent but at times violent sword weilding ninja. His speciallty is explosives.

Then there is Croc,
a quiet but very intense warrior of the naga. His weapons are traditional to his people, dualsickles. He has the uncanny ability to blend in with the forests. They remained silent as the plane took of for there halo(halo means high altitude low opening, its a tactical drop over a target with the plane high enough to not be seen or heard) jump over the island of Kabal.

THE MISSION
Your mission is to infiltrate the island, take out all enemy personal, cut there communications, rescue prisoners and slaves, assassinate oblivion, the 7 demons,and Kabal, retrieve the helm of the dragon, and the eyes of the Naga! The unnamed company that is allowing us to use the Exosuit wants us in return to retreive these other prototypes: Leviathian HoverBoard, Laser Rifle, and the Plasma Cannon. They have also issued a warning with the Exo suit since its not been fully debugged. It has capabilities of windowing (invisibility) but flickers on and off so it cannot be relied on as it comes and goes. Also the M.C.B.'s , Moon Star, and Plasma Cannon have yet to be field tested.

The following is the terms of failure: Killing of innocents,directly not completing any one of the mission objectives, and or allowing the death of a teammate if it could have been prevented.

(The naga's eyes will reveal the hidden story through scenes before a boss.)

Your radio support will be Grelan Grae and backing her will be the Dojo Master Hidoi Kawa. We have several operatives on the island. If you have captured any enemy contact me and I will relay the message to the closest personnel. This is very important, the shipment of stolen weapons will be in port by the time you arrive, But another ship has been spotted heading that way. We don't know what's on it or why it headed that way. If possible investigate.

ASHIDA AT DEATH
Ashida never transcended out of the Earth Plane. He could not go without Lotus. So his spirit remained, searching for his lost love. (There is even a Legend of the ghost of Ashida Yamada). When Ashida see's his wife again he remembers (flashback shows). He talks about that experience. He remembers wandering, screaming out her name. Never an answer for his poor soul to sleep.(When he finally see's her a quickflash behind him in spirit form on his knees screaming out to the heavens her name.)

SLAVERY OF A DEAD WARRIOR RACE
High up in the mountains in Mongolia once lived a small but great clan of warriors. They did battle with anyone they thought had a chance against them. Upon hearing of the cult of Kabal and its growing numbers, they decided to test them a bit. The clan arrived on the island and ransacked the villiges, killed many of Kabals worshippers and even dared to attack Kabal himself. Kabal struck them down but not dead. Kabal figured the ultimate defeat for these people wouldn't be death but assimilation. He would make them into a slave race. After all there was something burried deep within the islands mountain, but its whereabouts were unknown. So he would now have slaves to dig it up and find it.

A SLAVE BETRAYS HIS PEOPLE
Demolition was the son of slaves, and his birthright he knew should be that of a warrior. Possessed by the need for freedom he would stop at nothing to receive it. He saw his people weak and controlled. He thought himself to still have warrior blood but these people just could not be of his blood. He snapped and with sheer strength he killed off every guard who attacked him. He knew he would not live to see the mainland, but just wanted to have the chance to kill the one who was responsible for the death of a once proud warrior race. He made his way to the castle and was attacked by Oblivion. Oblivion was just too skilled and was about to finish Demolition off when Kabal appeared and ordered Oblivion to cease. He said he had an idea for Demolition. Kabal had been watching the slaves for a little while now just in case this sort of thing happened. And because of Demolition some of the other slaves have since gone astray. Kabal made a deal with Demolition. If he were to go back and kill all the slaves who were rebelling and control the rest of the slaves, then Kabal who make Demolition into one of his demons. He would not only have the freedom of the island but he would be on of Kabals warriors and a powerful one at that. Demolition couldn't say no. Soon after he became the demon of power.

FRAGMENT PEICES OF MADDNESS
Oblivion has always sought one main thing. To make his enemies family his own. To steal their children, their wives and daughters. To spread his seed into the enemies womb. To create that link that makes the enemy truly suffer. He had practiced it many times and has had many offspring. Some he has killed himself. Some the enemy has slain in utter remorse. Nothing was sweeter to his ears then to see what would have been the father, slay his wives son. Twisted isn't even the beginning of this tale. Warfare to him, meant only to be pleasurable. That's all that matters to him. It was also a form of tactical espionage, fallout, and chaos within rival clans. Sometimes before Oblivion could manipulate his children, the clan the mother belonged to would come to claim it back. He then would wait awhile and steal the child from the clan and maybe even slay the mother before the child's eyes. It was all a game to him, and he took pleasure in all of it.

TO CATCH A THIEF
Malice was once a member of an elite clan of thieves in China around the 17th century. He was hired to steal a very special artifact from a very remote and secure island. Unknowing Kabal was the one who sent out the order to hire him. Kabal had heard of a select few great thieves. Malice was one of them. When Malice had made it into the castle without being seen or heard, Kabal knew that he indeed would be very handy. He made his presence known and Malice stood before him with the artifact inhand. Kabal gave Malice an offer. If Malice would kill off the rest of the clan of thieves(kill his clan to make it look as if it was those thieves involved and not Kabals men in order to throw off any trail of his doing) after retreiving a special dragon helm from his enemies, then Kabal would make Malice into one of his immortal demons. Malice did as told and took his place as the demon of thieves.

BROTHER OF THE DARK
Wrath like judgment, was once a Kagura ninja. He though was not forced or tricked. Most everyone in the clan treated him different. Treated him as a outsider. Even though he had worked hard for his accomplishments they would go unnoticed by his people. He thought that maybe because his mother was to weak to defend herself and she had been raped. Maybe he too was weak, or had the evil in him that his father must have had. He did know something was being kept from him, and the council knew what that was. He had asked several of the masters, but none of them would tell him anything. But he knew that with that much heat suddenly about his father, the council would surely hafto have a meeting on it. They did and he had hid himself on the roof were a hole was. He heard everything. The council was afraid that Wrath might find out his father was Kabals second in command.....Oblivion! Wrath had heard of him. His own mother had said that the head demon was a vile soul known as Oblivion. His mother had spoken bad about his father. Someone who commanded respect. He knew his place then was not with the clan. He knew his fate lay with Oblivion. Wrath left the clan and journeyed to the island. A skillful ninja can penetrate just about anything, even Oblivions chambers. Oblivion brought him before Kabal. Kabal saw yet another useful soul in his master plan. His deal with Wrath was that if he would go back to his clan and slay his mother. Then Wrath could take his place as one of the demons of Kabal. Knowing that Wrath too wanted to command respect, he was given not only the title of Daimiyo, but as the demon of controll.

BETWEEN LOVE OR HONOR
Judgement was once a ShiroKage ninja. A ninja clan which was once rivals of the Kagura until Kabals armies appeared. Judgment was one of the best there ever was. He fought for honor but lived for love. His wife was the utmost thing he cherished over all other things. She was his weakness and his strength. However she was the daughter of Oblivion, and under his hypnotic control. She wouldn't turn though for fear that Judgment would be her enemy. She was captured and brought to the island. A message was then sent to Judgment requesting his presence. Judgment went to the island and was escorted to the castle. Kabal gave Judgment a choice. Either he join them or she dies. Judgement agreed and gave up honor for love. In that way he betrayed his clan by turning his back on the code. At the ceremony he pledged his undying word to Kabal not to betray him. Judgement was then made immortal. His wife too was to become immortal but not a demon. Right before it happened a arrow flew threw the window striking her in the heart killing her immediately. Another flew at judgment but he caught it. He recognized the arrows marking. It was from the Kagura ninja clan. Unknown to him though was it was a set up from the start. Oblivion had ordered her death because she was too weak for the dark and judgment was weak because of her. Know he would find strength in his hatred for the Kagura clan. Judgment became the demon of Illusions.

WANDERER THROUGH THE CHAOS
KuroTatsu is the blood of Oblivion. He was to become the main recruiter for the Kabal. Born unto one of Oblivions many mistresses he often felt he was not able to seek his own destiny. He was trained and educated by the best money could buy. Often though his personality would scare the teachers, and they would leave after a short time. He was born naturally an albino. He would always hide in the shadows as a kid. He decided at one point in his childhood to do things for himself. As he was raised closely by his father and his mother they in no way showed any love for him, just a use. Many different masters would try to train him but he would learn quick enoughand soon surpass any skill and knowledge the masters had. He didn't do this for himself though. As he saw it, his father only wanted to use him in his grand scheme. And his mother once she got to old was forgotten by his father. Oblivion would just kidnap another young girl and do whatever he pleased. KuroTatsu, Black Dragon wanted to destroy everything that destroyed the child within him. He wanted to take down his father, but he knew of his fathers ability to read minds. So he learned how to keep that under lock and key in his mind. If his father were to find out he would probably kill him, and KuroTatsu wasn't ready to fight his father yet. He trained and trained and one day his mother attacked Oblivions mistress. Her jealousy grew and Oblivion decided he was more than done with her. He would make KuroTatsu one of his demons but his betrayel would be that of killing his mother. It wasn't a problem for KuroTatsu, his mother never showed any love for him. In fact as far as he could tell his mother rejected him cause Oblivion focused less on her. Oblivion focused on training a successor if he were ever to be killed. KuroTatsu took his place but after his ceramony, after he was given immortality he left the island to find all the power it would take to kill Kabal. Since then he has traveled the world training. Oblivion wasn't to happy about it and would send samurai out to find him and try to bring him back. KuroTatsu would always defeat whomever came after him. He set himself up as a freelance assasin, but often when the target would be someone he thought didn't deserve death he would take out who ever put the contract out and destroy any traces of his connection to it. He however keeps his eyes and ears open and heard of a huge theft of Advanced military weaponry. He knew something big was going to happen and decided to crash whatever party that was about to be thrown.

POSSESION OF THE SOULESS WARRIOR
One of the artifacts of the Ancient island called Yamere had found its way to a Vagabond. This souless warrior saw to much and killed to many. His spirit hand been emptyied and could no longer see a reason to fight. War wasn't as far as he could see about the people. It was about the power of the lords and shogun. And the people he fought with were foolish to fight for such a cause. He ceased to believe in honor. The jewel came into his possession by a wandering merchant. He spotted it and asked the merchant about it. He said it wasn't for sale. He tried again but still the merchant would not sell it. The vagabond saw power in it and he wanted it no matter how he had to get it. He waited several days until the merchant left on another trip. Waiting by the side of the road he stopped the merchant at night with no one anywhere around. The merchant recognized him and drew a blade and told the man to stand back. The vagabond advanced and the merchant lunged at him. With a sidestep and a slash the merchants body hit the ground followed by his head. He took the Jewel necklace and put it in his tote bag. He would make it look like an average robbery by taking his money and some other stuff which was really no use to him. He left and hours later set up camp deep in the woods. He removed the necklace from the bag and it seemed to start glowing when he touched it. He put it over his head and immediately felt his heart pounding. His skin on his back split open and something was growing out of it. He started screaming at the pain. His face felt like it was on fire. His mind reeled and his spoken thoughts became a voice emanating from the jewel. His skin Blackened and his hair fell off. He started ripping his clothes off because it felt like it was suffocating him. His whole body had become more sleek and black. A tail grew from him and he felt different sensations. Wind pressure, unheard sounds, and his eyes could see clearly in the dark. He looked down at his chest and the necklace had burned away but the Jewel had embedded itself into his skin. He felt strong, he felt new, and for the first time in a very long time he felt alive. He couldn't be scene like this though at least not during the day. He grabbed at the jewel and ripped it out of his skin. The pain so intense he passed out. He awoke in the morning a normal but very nude man. He thought it was all a dream till he looked at his chest. It looked like the surface of his skin had been torn away. On the ground he found the jewel. He knew it had not been a dream. It had changed him. He felt weaker in the human form. He felt dead. He visited a mystic and had him tell the Vagabond about the precious stone. It was known as the Bats Heart. It was a very ancient and forgotten Talisman. The mystic knew all about its capabilities and knew what power it held. The mystic told the Vagabond if he wanted to know more then he should travel with him to the island of Oblivion. Other mystics had ventured there to learn from the rest of the dark priests.
