Game Style: RPG/Fighting

Description: Before you groan over another fighter give me a chance. My idea is to do a tournament style game in which sixteen competitors are entered. Each one suffers a tortured past ranging from losing a love to losing there sanity. The prize is a chance to live your life over again to your own liking. There will be a option to talk to other fighters before and after matches and forge alliances and rivalries between other fighters. Each character will have there own fighting styles and manevuers all based on actual fighting styles from judo to just plan punches and kicks. You can either kill your opponent or beat them to a pulp, and either may have consequences, Say you start a rivaly with an opponent and let him live, he could thank you after the fight, or hold a grudge for not killing him and embarressing him. And having allies would help if say a fight erupts between matches due to your rival starting trouble. So you'd have to trust that your friends won't succumb to the gossip and turn there backs on you.  This game will carry a mature rating if created due to the graphic backstories and the blood and violence. The things you do to your opponent actually effect them. If you snap there neck they are DEAD. If you give them a shin breaker they'll limp continue to do it and they'll wither in pain. The battles take place in a varitey of places from under a bridge, to an alley, to dimly lit boxing training facitlity.

Character Examples to lend you the ideas behind some of the backgrounds:

Devon Young: The All-American quarter back for his high school was driving home with his GF after prom when they get hit head on my a drunk driver leaving his GF dead and him left in a downward spiral even digging up her body after the funeral to hold.

Poe: A young man who dresses as a goth and had a relationship with a member of the same sex until his father caught on and murdered Poes signifigant other infront of his eyes.

Mandi Smythe: Was a victim of a brutal rape and nearly died due to it. She was in a mental institution because of it. until the tournament was offered as a way to bring her back from the brink.

Conclusion: As you can see the Mature rating is justified. I dunno about you guys but i'd like to see a fighter that can make the player feel sorry for his character and generally want the character to succeed to see how there life would unfold. The way that would work is at the begining it shows the characters background with the date and at the end show the character on the same date happy. The Quarter back would propose to his GF when they returned home and Poes father wouldn't care about his sons relationship and Mandi would nevr have been in that situation. In fact she'd meet her true love! Well thanks for your time!
