I met with my first main boss in the form of Mecha Bowser, you fight him while riding on a giant roller coaster. A scene that has to be witnessed to believe!
Sony has a huge wall in front of them. They have around 6 or 7 platform games coming this fall and I can guarantee you that none of them will even come close to matching this masterpiece!

Super Mario Sunshine - Day Two 8/3/2002
By: ZeroTolerance Another day another massive amount of time with SMS. See if the game still holds our interest after 48 hours!
Sure after one day of straight Mario anyone would get tired correct? Absolutely not, the game continued to have me coming back for more and more. Collecting shines was more than a game, it was an addiction. Each new level I opened up gave way to something brilliant and spectacular. Loving every minute of it I continued to dive in head first. Nothing has yet to disappoint as far as Mario games go. Enough with the jargon time for the facts!
So far only a few things really irk me about the game. First off the camera can be really annoying at times. Especially when you are trying to wall hop to an out of reach ledge only to fall all the way back down at the top due to a bad angle. The second thing that gets under my skin at times is the insane difficulty of the stories. One second you are grabbing two shines in less than 20 mins, the next it takes you over an hour to gain one. With so little to complain about so far I am more than satisfied with my purchase.
My new collection of shines consist of 16 as well as 22 blue coins. I still have no clue as to what the blue coins do, I am sure I will find out sooner or later. I see them everywhere, but my main focus right now is the shines, blue coins can be gathered later. Today I focused in on Pinna Park and Story 6 of Bianco Hills. Story 6 was a bitch to say the least. You first must make it into a tunnel on the other side of the tower. Once inside you are stripped of your water pack once again for a traditional Mario platforming experience (as I like to call these sessions). I have been through a few of these already but this one, by far, was the hardest yet. The platforms and blocks moved and twisted in ways platform games have tried years to imitate yet cease to capture. These are the kind of levels Mario is famous for and another reason why he is the king of the genre!
I have opened a total of four levels now, I have also uncovered who the main villain is supposed to be. No worries I will not divulge that here I leave it to you to find out! I met with my first main boss in the form of Mecha Bowser, you fight him while riding on a giant roller coaster. A scene that has to be witnessed to believe! I have yet to uncover Yoshi although while grabbing the 8 red coins in Pinna Park there were plenty of references such as a ferris wheel where you could ride him. He is coming I can feel it LOL!
After two straight days of Mario Sunshine I have come to the conclusion that all other games are going to pale in comparison for a while. Especially platformers, Sony has a huge wall in front of them. They have around 6 or 7 platform games coming this fall and I can guarantee you that none of them will even come close to matching this masterpiece! I am leaving today's update short as I am still in the midst of gaining another shine baby! Check back soon, I will be keeping a log for five days and then the review will be laid upon thee so prepare!
