Two new screenshots of Fur Effect.

Word From The Developers

Here Daz and Tony and the other key-persons involved in the development of RTTH will speak to you about everything that may be happening. Watch this section closely!!!.

Spooky
Just to prove how close this games demo is to completion here are two shots of a level, this level has a new feature which may not sound like much but it looks cool, it has a flickering light system which means that I can have completely dark corridors that flash every now and then reveling a teddy zombie (this demo made me jump in bit, which must be good cause I knew where the scary bits were!!!), well enjoy the pics.

Demo
We have a demo ready but not so much of it is Fur Effect, it was just a test for the AI and for the new gun system. The trailer now has about 60% of its building blocks ready, all it needs now is a few more models and stuff making. We should soon have a trailer and a fully playable demo ready!!!

Changed Name
We have decided to changes RTTH's name to Fur Effect. Fur Effect was a name suggestion submitted by Lloyd Knott. As the game will be a horror/comedy game, featuring some hilarious scenes, Fur Effect is a very good title for the game.

Taking Shape
I have created a little prog in DB, and in it there is a black screen, a teddy, and a crosshair. Now this program (if you haven't already guessed) is about shooting at a teddy, but a fun part to it is you can blow limbs off it hehe, well I will see once it is fully finished if I can place it out for download.

Well as for work on RTTH the opening FMV and of course that will lead to a mini trailer or taster of what the game should feel like is nearing completion, and the coding of the various parts of the game are under production. The main focus though at the moment being the FPS engine and a little bit of work on the third person perspective engine. So finally the game has started to take a shape, it may be vague at the moment but we are getting there slowly. The main focus for me (DaZ) at the moment is THE script, so I will be working out the game on paper before the levels are put together so only me and my trusted cousin who will be assisting me in its production will know the full story line and every twist and turn the player will endure until we pass it on to the programmers and level designers. The cinematic quality is improving everyday and the game is turning into a fun playable movie of some respect.

What Is RTTH?
As this is my first instalment to the new development section I will introduce my self. As most of you well know my name is Daz and I am the part owner of CDSOFTWARE, as well as owning CDSOFTWARE I am also the lead Game Designer and Game Creator.

What Is RTTH?
RTTH is basically the abridgement for Road To Teddy Hell. RTTH is designed to be a 1st AND 3rd person perspective game but the features list doesn't end there. The game is also designed to give the player the opportunity to also drive cars and fly planes over the 50km by 50km map. RTTH has an original and basic plot that will be changed by you the public as the project goes on. To find out more about the plot so far, you can enter the plot section. A link can be found on the RTTH menu to your right.

By now you should have a basic idea of what Road To Teddy Hell means and if you don't, email me at rtth@cdsoftware.fsnet.co.uk and I will be happy to answer any questions. Well that's it for this week. Next week I will be telling you more about the game engine and it's capabilities.

Daz recently had to change the game engine because of some software problems, so no information can be looked at as final information for now. As well as being able to submit work through Game Discovery's submit system, special jobs may be available for people who are interested in becoming a so called key person. To become a key person you must have some sort of experience in the field you wish to work in. We will announce such jobs here in the RTTH section when they become available.
