Ok this isn't exactly FAQ because we made up all the questions our
selves, but then again that's probably what every website does.
It's more of a teaching guide about Project OGDE done by Question & Answer.

Q: Is Game Discovery a game company?
A: Game Discovery is not your common game company, we work more as a link between different
development teams, and gamers who are interested in game design. We do not make any games
our self, but we set up game projects together with development-teams/game-designers and our
readers/visitors. Maybe you could call us an Online Game Company?
Q: Are you working together with Square or Namco on project OGDE?
A: "Online Game Development for Everybody" is first of all targeted for amateur/hobby
game designers who are looking for a future in the game industry. Our goal is to give
promising/not-so-promising game designers, 3D modelers, character designers etc etc, a
chance to show off their work and the opportunity to be part of a development team. After
receiving much e-mail from people asking how they could get into the industry, we decided
to do something about it. The result of this became project OGDE.
Q: I'm just a hardcore gamer with no programming skills, is there something that I can
contribute to the project?
A: Online Game Development for Everybody means game making for everybody! As long as you
know how to draw a monster or character that looks slightly better than the work of a
five-year-old, there will be plenty of opportunities. What kind of material that can be
submitted will not be the same on all game projects. The core team behind each game project
will decide what kind of material they feel is suitable for that specific game project. For
more information about what to submit you need to visit the section dedicated to the specific
game you wish to contribute to.
Q: People all over the world working on the same title seems a bit chaotic to me, don't you
think it will all end in total chaos?
A: There are a few things that must be known before you fully can understand how this system
works. First of all, each game project has a core-team (can in fact consist of only one person)
behind its development who is in the position to complete the development of the game without
all you contributors submitting material. It's their title and they have 100% control over the
development process. In the end, they will decide what submitted material to use. This does NOT
mean that they won't listen to what you have to say, it's for keeping things a bit organized,
preventing the whole project from falling apart. This core-team will also have the final word
over the 3D modelers, character designers etc etc, who has signed up for a job.
Q: Signed up, signed up for what?
A: On some projects there will be an opportunity to sign up for a specific job. These jobs will
become available after a request from the core-team. Not all game projects will require jobs like
these, and if you want one you have to watch our news section as we will callout when there are
jobs to be filled. These jobs may vary from 3DAnimator to Story Director. People signing up for a
specific job must be willing to sacrifice allot of spare-time devoting themselves to the game project.
And you will not be paid anything else than "World Wide Fame". Hey, we here at Game Discovery don't
get paid for doing this, so why should you?
Q: Now wait a minute, I'm going to school five days a week and keeping a job at the very same time.
I don't want to devote my life to this project but I'm pretty skilled with 3DStudio, is there a way
for me to contribute with my skills?
A: As mentioned earlier, each game project will have different elements that can be submitted depending
on what the core-team for each game project has decided for their project. This may include technical
stuff like 3Dmodels and game music. Again check the specific section devoted to the game project you wish
to work on to see what kind of submissions they accept.
Q: Me and my friends has formed a development team and we have this cool strategy game in the making.
We think project OGDE is blasting kewl, and we want to have our strategy game developed at your webside
using your kick ass system. Is that possible?
A: If you look at the Game Menu you will see a link that says "Sign Up Now!". Clicking on that link
should give you all the information needed about starting a new game project.
Q: So project OGDE is for amateur game development only?
A: NO
