Character and Comments |
As many of you know we are busy working on the new Game Discovery site, hoping for a launch this summer. This doesn't give
room for much else, resulting in that we are not able to update this site as much as we used to. This is just temporary as
the new site will be updated daily! Well…here are some new comments suggestions for Fur Effect (RTTH has changed name to
Fur Effect), also a new character has been submitted to the character gallery.

Fur Effect |
Daz has decided that the game now should be called Fur Effect. Fur Effect was a name suggestion
submitted by Lloyd Knott. As the game will be a horror/comedy game, featuring some hilarious scenes,
Fur Effect is a very good title for the game. That's all for today.

New in-game shot |
Here is a new in game shot from our 3D action game, which is being developed
by CDSOFTWARE (we'll announce the new name tomorrow). CDSOFTWARE is developing
the game in DarkBASIC, and judging from this screen shot we'd say it's going to be one
of the coolest DarkBASIC games this year.

DarkBASIC |
Dark Basic, one of Game Discovery's sponsors, has just launched their retail version of DarkBASIC.
The program has had an enormous success, and has now become a very popular program amongst game programmers.
The DarkBASIC retail package includes a number of thrilling game demonstrations, a 168 page manual and a 48
page tutorial. We get a lot of mail from people who are looking for programs that they can use for making
games. There are many good programs for this, but DarkBASIC has proved to be a real winner, and especially
amongst beginners, as it's very easy to use.
Visit the DarkBASIC site now.

Wrong e-mail address |
All of you who have contacted us at our new yahoo mail should do so again!
The right address is gamediscovery@yahoo.no and not gamediscovery@yahoo.com.
As you all know we are at the moment very busy designing the new Game Discovery
website, and we now realize that this process will take a bit longer than first
expected. You will not be able to submit game ideas before we have launched the
new site, and it may take as long as 2-3 months. But we can promises you that the
new Game Discovery site will be the most hardcore game-site ever, and we ask for
all of you to keep supporting us by visiting us daily, as we will have weekly news
updates about RTTH as well as updating all submissions sent to the OGDE section.

!!!Attention!!!
At the moment we are moving GameDiscovery.com to a new server host. This may result in that the site will be down
for a short period of time. We also strongly suggest that all who wants to contact us do so at gamediscovery@yahoo.no
until we are done moving the website, just to make sure that your e-mail doesn't get lost, in case something was to happen
while transferring the domain address.

New RTTH screenshots |
Here are some new in-game shoots from the game.
It's turning into an action-horror game with humor! Also it will not be totally based around
teddy bears, so when you submit a name suggestion for the game it doesn't have to include the
word teddy, unless you want to.
You should also take a look at the Intro suggestion by Bren Lynne
Name suggestion for the action-horror game, which's being developed by CDSOFTWARE, and Game Discovery

New screen shots |
Daz has sent over some very early in-game shots from the new game engine. He clearly stated that these pics
are nothing like the quality of the final product, they are just some shots of what we're are managing to produce
with our gaming tools. See screenshots
Daz also decided that he wants to change the name of the game, which is at the moment titled Road to Teddy Hell.
If you can come up with a better name we would like to hear from you. Write your suggestion in the form above,
and then click on the on the submit button.

Sound FX |
Today we have added a new character submission to the 2D sketch gallery, along with the very first
submission of a home made sound fx. Why there haven't been submitted more sound fxs we can't understand,
as we though this would be the most fun. So if you want to make sound fxs for RTTH then read more about
it at Dev.Submit.
Daz, the main game designer for the RTTH project, is speaking about how the game is now finally taking
shape. Read more about this in "Word From The Developer" at the RTTH section.

New Teddy Sketches and Music |
A couple of new Teddy sketches have been added as well as a short but very cool midi sample. We have been getting many
submissions with the message Unable to display Image, we will e-mail these people back soon. But to all you other people,
'cause some have been asking about it, just add the image file or midi file as an attachment and e-mail it over, that's it.

Zom-Bear |
It seems that TranZ isn't only talented in 2D, but also in 3D modeling.
Here's a fully textured model based on the Zom-Bear sketch for Road To
Teddy Hell. It's in 3DS format and ready for animation. So if you think
you can bring life into this bear Download it now and start working. And
when you have made some cool animations, send it back to us, so we can
use it in the game.
He has also made a new 2D sketch of an Army-Bear. This bear is an intelligent
bear that will bee able to create his own army. To read more about the game's
specs, and how far CDSOFTWARE has come with the game engine, click HERE.

Awesome Teddy sketches |
We have just received three awesome Teddy sketches for the RTTH project! TranZ, the guy who made the sketches,
looks to be an amazing artist, and we hope his work will inspire other artists out there to contribute to the
development of Road To Teddy Hell. We also want more people to make game music.
For some reason, a lot of people have submitted work that they did not make themselves. We don't know why they
have done so, but it's most likely some kind of misunderstanding. Maybe some misleading instructions in our submit
section? Most likely and changes will be made soon.

Plot suggestions for RTTH |
We have just received a Story/Plot suggestion for RTTH from Blayne Welsh. Story/Plot suggestions are not yet
on the submission list but will be added soon. As you probably know, RTTH is a very open game project, though
Daz and the rest of his team has their own opinion about the plot for RTTH, they will welcome any suggestions
from our readers. To read Blayne Welsh's plot suggestion, visit RTTH's development page and choose Plot/Story
from the RTTH menu.

OGDE |
Welcome to Online Game Development for Everybody. After a long wait we can finally
say that Project OGDE is ready for submission. Many of you might allready know what
this is all about, since we have been talking about it for quite a while now, but we
still suggest for both old and new users that you have a good look around before you
start submitting your work. Getting familiar with the system is essential to fully
understand how this will work. Starting with reading our Dev.Rules
and Dev.FAQ might
be a good idea. Now the rest is up to you!
At the moment there is only one game project available, to enter it's section click
on RTTH on the Games menu located to your right. A new RTTH menu should then become
available.
